Guys i have a problem! Anyone can help?

 

When i click Place > And then select the image i want to place (i used same image as blane did) it says:

"Could not place the document cause file-format module cant parse the file"

 

So i tried clicking Place > And then i select my own image (jpeg, other one was png) and when i place it:

While holding shift i cant resize it! I dont even get the arrows for resize and rotate.

 

 

So anyone can tell me whats the prob :S ?
