How i can create a patch and a website for my server.

Guys i need help for my server patch and i want to "build" a site for my server that will show register downloads etc. killer_007 said me that I must delete all other folders in diskw\www and I must leave only the acm folder. I did itand i put a link that it direct you in localhost\acm\ as he told me and i want to ask now other ppl will can have access in this page(localhost\acm\ or not so they can create an account) That's all  ;D anyone can help me  :P

For a website, add the files of your system inside diskw\www directory, and install it as you would do online. Search on google for ready systems as: Nuke-evo, smf etc

 

As for the acm, www.whatismyip.com

If the IP is xxx.xxx.xxx

Then if some1 wants to create an account goes to ~> http://xxx.xxx.xxx/acm/

Just turn on the ACCEPT NEW ACCOUNTS on login properties. And everything is gonna be fine...

 

A patch...? LOL, there was a topic about this, and i don't think you need to think a lot about it...

 

Copy-paste your system.

Edit l2.ini and put your IP

Edit anything else you want to customize

Paste them inside another folder (if you customized other files such as textures etc, otherwise simply compress this one)

Compress the folder (Use: Best possible)

 

Now there are 3 options:

 

1. Upload the system in rapidshare/4shared etc.

2. Paste it inside diskw\www and give the link (if you have pasted it inside www the link would be http://xxx.xxx.xxx/filenamehere)

3. Upload it in a site system (like phpnuke) in the download section (this one means that you need to host a website @ a webhosting service).

oh also i want to ask something else. I have router(adsl modem) and when I do rr etc the ip changes but how the other going to login with the patch that have the old ip  :P i must do something?

Go www.no-ip.com register a account go in your mail...

And activated the account!

 

!!Next step login... look left Hosts /Redirects

                                      Add

Choose a hostname and one no-ip free domain and create host

 

!!Next step Go Downloads If you have windows choose windows and download the file:)

I don't like no-ip, i use dyndns... anyway, if you get it work... DynDns is much easier. Anyway... you decide...

Yes but the server wll lag very very even if you have a dedicate server.So not recommend it
