How do i use custom dat files with newer chronicles? If you edit one system dat file the client wont start. How do i solve this?

First step, very easy.

Courtesy of viRUS

But adoption in not only changing file structure of dat files, but utx and ukx too.

And some effect graphic are not compatible.

Newest cronicles have totally different structure of dat files.

Some contents are added to new clients, some removed.

It's a challange.

BTW You are a creator of FR?

Thank you, but i know how to work with dat files. I worked for a long time with h5. Now with Grand Crusade my probem is getting the client started after editing some dat files. Dat files were saved properly. The client just wont start if i edit for example the itemname-e.dat by changing an item description.

Do You have  L2Fileedit with GC protocol 110 support?

AFAIK the one available (ru version)   can only properly decode 110 protocol, but no encode.

And small hint - if game wont start, You can't say that dat files were saved properly . They are saved. Nothing more.

It would be nice to have the possibility to change item names, add custom items and npcs, questnames and strings. ^^
