Help Something Causes The Client To Freeze (Like Being Disconnected)

Yo guys, i just patched my client with some stuff from my project, didnt have any problems back then so maybe could be a problem with this interface or these textures from this weird Giran?

 

 

What happens?: When i log in to the server i can walk until i target any of the npcs except the buffer, aaand i cant walk or do anything after that, tho alt+x and exit game works

havent tested a lot, it just crashes. like i said, didnt have problems the last time i connected to my server, that was like 8 months ago :D maybe i should try to reinstall the client and install my customs again :/

EDIT: Cant target npcs in gludin either (random location)

Wohoho, sounds like a mess :D

 

Yeah, get clean files, create a SVN and add your customs again. That way you will never mess again and if you do, you can revert your changes :)

well the problem is with client side so i cant revert any changes to my client can i? :D my pack already has like 10 bonus armor sets, ~15 weapon sets, 99 new jewels, some talismans, ~150 custom npcs and much more :D

Meh, sounds like a lot of useless shiet :P

 

No idea what causes your crashes. Get clean client files and add your .utx and blabla with custom items if necessary, but first check if it's map related problem or not :P

still the same problem? anyone has an idea what could be wrong? like i said, i didnt have this problem before i stopped working on this project|
are there any client logs that i could look into or something? server console shows completely nothing, only that i logged into the server

How to fix this issue it's simple re-instsall your client keep backup of those costumized things and replace again and everything will work correct)

just did that, the same issue :/ 

i know it must be only a shot in the dark but maybe i should change my external hostnames or w/e the external ip adresses to * or smth instead of 54.**.**.** that used to be my vps's, sometimes buggs ruin other parts of the game

 

EDIT: Taking a really close up look to all of the gameserver.bat info, found some problem with xml/skills/... gonna check that out, will keep it posted

EDIT2: says i left an empty string in a file with ~50 custom skills, damn, this will take time :D

EDIT3: fixed skills, the problem still occurs

EDIT4: downloaded rev 350 from svn, it looks like it was a server side bug, im readding all my customs a few at a time, this will take me some time but ill keep you guys updated :)

EDIT5: Added all my custom skills and removed unneded ones, still havent encountered any problems. Will update with custom npcs + items + multisells

EDIT6: Added npcs, npcs dont cause this problem, moving on to items

EDIT7: Items added, 2 items were duplicated in different xml files, maybe that was the problem, gonna check
