see?  That's my point. People don't want new things. They don't want a better gameplay server. They want the server things. THEY WANT THE OWNERS TO GET ALL THE DONATION MONEY AND CLOSE THE SERVER.

The question is why y'all keep doing same old shit + new ideas on the same 2 shit clients(interlude/h5)? That's why people are scared of trying to new things. And of course the way how L2 has evolved, if there's no full GM Shop and shitty donations from a 1 month server, people won't play.

I do like the idea and the concept behind it, but there's nothing in the world that can make me play IT/H5 nowadays.

It looks interesting. However, it's gonna need a ton of testing, which might even prove that it's not a good idea after all. Not sure if it's worth the effort. (Unless you're just enthusiastic about working on something like that...)

It's almost finished and i also had an offer for 2k to sell that on a major server owner that everyone knows but i dont wanna say. Rejected the offer and the project stayed in my repo since then.

See what? I do want new things.

Quite frankly this is not what I had in mind.

New things are mutually exclusive from a mega-load-ton of new things. Quality over quantity.

I outlined the issue I have with a majority of servers - lack of conflict drivers.

Faction/Event servers have fabricated fights; these drive action, but there is no conflict. The game plays like a sport. This guy is Red, the other is Blue, they fight each other because the event engine says so.

High rate servers have small conflict drivers, but they are old in design - secure farm spot to maximise farming efficiency. But this is short lived - once you get your shit you don't need to secure the spot. That, and the population is too sparsely spread out. And its related to farming, which is obnoxious and inspires maximising 2 different, conflicting builds. One that is good at PvE and another that is good at PvP.

And it has the stupid WOW syndrome:

A: "why do you farm this boss?"

B: "so I can get good gear!"

A: "why do you need good gear?"

B: "so I can farm a harder boss!".
