its a firefox plugin that you "mimic" google search bot...google is your friend

The User Agent Switcher changes your user agent to spoof other devices and/or browsers. You can put on your IE hat and slip past virtual bouncers into Internet Explorer-only websites; blend in as an iPhone or see how sites render when they think you're Google's search spider.

they allow google [bot] to see their forums to improve their seo and rank in search engines... with use agent the forums see you as google bot and allow you to see content w/o login

 

but i think they fixed it :P
