Help Dedicated Question.

Hey guys i want to buy 1 dedicated server for 1 month to do my cbt and obt, ill do all those test with 20-60 players. My question is, this hardware can handle that player ammount?

 

• 4 GB DDR2-RAM
• AMD Athlon™ X2
• 2x 320 GB SATA

 

or this one?

• 8 GB DDR3-RAM
• AMD Athlon II X4 - Quad-Core
• 2 x 1000 GB SATA

Perhaps, but I really won't suggest the first one :lol:

It's fine if it doesn't include geodata... but AMD x2, 4GB DDR2 is a suicide even for beta tests.

Gameserver is a matter of 80mo without scripts. aCis can be launched with -Xmx256m parameter, with 361 scripts loaded. Stop to say crap.

 

At worst you count 2mo / player, in his case 200mo. Without geodata, he doesn't even reach 512mo. With geodata, if you use aCis you need 2g minimum, for another pack you need far lesser (something like 1g).

 

No matter what if you allocate 3g to your GS you got enough even for a live server (200ppl), geo on.
