Hello MXC community , i am new to L2 client editing and i would like your knowledge in some stuff.. well , as the title says my question is this, i took a picture from a .utx file exported it into dds, then edited it with photoshop and saved it as tagra ( .tga ) well when i import it i do it to the same way it was before , it was DXT3 and i do it 3 too.. Now.. what goes wrong.. pic is  512 x 256  but the "painted" area is about 380 x 256  the other should be transparent..when i exported it this area was black but on Unreal i saw it transparent..  So, how can i make this area look transparent agian while i import it ? this was my first questionm, and i have another one. after i finish and import it i encode it place the encoded file in systextures but i get an error and l2 does not open..any ideas why? thanks for your time reading this everyone , i hope i get some answers !

Have a look here. It's almost the same.

Also, about transparency.
Just save it without bg as a tga and you'll be fine.

no............

you have to make a alpha channel for it. the white parts of it is the part that it will SHOW and the black parts is the parts you want to be transparent.

import, right click, go to properties or something and make sure alpha texture=true

i don't think that the problem is there cause when i exported it as a .dds from .utx the images that i could see had transparent bg. and within the photoshop i saw the alpha channel and it was working..but as soon i import it again there is a bg with black colour..however when i open the game i notice that this black bg is not appeared BUT the image quality is totally wasted
