I managed to code an app for android which works like this.

That's how blizzard's one looks like:

 Battlenet_mobile.jpg

You download it and you get a serial code.

You log ingame and you press .auth .

You put in the serial code and you press accept.

You log out.

Every other time you log in you will be asked to put a 8 digit code in a box before you log in.

This code is automatically changed every 30 seconds and it is made only for you own app.

You open the app, type in the code, the code is checked, voila.

"You don't need internet connection for that"

(I will also probably manage to code it on iOS too.)

SO?

easy as pie.

IOS -> MonoTouch(me no likes lua)

Android -> Java supported natively.

Android is gonna be easy as pie, but u'll have to sign ur apps if you want them in Google play, that means your personal info that NC can track you with XD Your private information is private to users, but since u sign the apk, ur data can be recovered from google.. or smth.. i forgot.....

Anyway you can always not sign it and leave the apk for download on a site.

IOS: Dunno if they let untrusted sources.. and if u wanna use their sdk/licence you need to cough up 100 eus.

nobody wants to get in so much trouble only to log in a private l2 server

It is not mandatory obviously. You use it ONLY if you have something worthy to have and keep safe.

That's the use of a PIN system, like Aion's (or your custom, for L2) :P. I don't get the abuse of external stuff to handle that.

I guess it's because they can't access to your mobile-app info so they can't decrypt password and sh1ts. But could be done with unique pc app too, so dunno  :happyforever:
