I have talked with a few people about Insomnia and from what they have said Insomnia failed because of a ddos that would not let people login to the server for days, not because of lack of interest or a bad setup.

 

Rates are still up on the air. there is a poll active on our forums so if you are interested in seeing a certain rate make sure to vote on the poll.

The only reason Insomnia failed(ddos NEVER happened) was the lack of strong clans.

A low rate server will never succeed if you don't have big clans attending your server.

 

And that's the biggest thing you have to work on. Individual people can't keep a server alive.

(You want to have 3+ clans with big parties competing bosses, not 2/3 parties taking them alone)

I only remember 2 allies with decent activity...tempest/aceshigh (or whatever) and warfare! You are right, if its going to be low rate, at least 2-3 big clans are needed to keep the server alive

There was no competition in 3rd baium of the game, and that's when the fall began.

 

Btw, the client protection is always gonna get bypassed, but 2 boxed makes it kinda hard to track them down

Will have to see how it goes. I know of right now 2 large clans (50+) that are planning on coming and they say if they come some of the other large clans will as well. But they won't announce their intentions until we are much closer to a live date. We will see.

I think people should give it a try. Despite the fact that it' s the only C5 server online, its balanced features make it the perfect choice among Interlude servers as well.

This one will be huge i think so make better and join here you don't want to lose a C5 OFF servar.  ;)

Finished off the client updater today. Work is rolling a long real nice. CMS is looking beautiful!! Starting on our client protection next :)

Hoping for a low-rate server, mid-rate community is dead nowadays, in a sense that people got no motivation and they quit after 2 weeks. Much bigger chances of having succesful server if you for low-rate setup. Might advertise it for some Russian clans as well, although considering you plan to host it in NA might make it less likely that they'll come, but who knows~

Will be a few weeks until the main site is ready :) We are coding a L2OFF based CMS from scratch so takes some time but should be worth it. We look forward to your spam :D
