To get your key to Onyxia, you must go to Morgan's Vigil in the Burning Steppes. That is where the chain starts.

Step 1:

  1. Quest name: Dragonkin Menace

  2. Start: Helendis Riverhorn

  3. Location: Burning Steppes

  4. Level: 54 elite

  5. Notes: The NPC asks you to kill a number of different types of dragons in Burning Steppes. If you do this at level 54, I would advise taking more than two people. Some of the dragons have rather high HP and do a pretty decent amount of damage.

Step 2:

  1. Quest Name: The True Masters

  2. Start: Helendis Riverhorn

  3. Location: Burning Steppes

  4. Level: 54

  5. Notes: The NPC asks you to deliver a letter to Magistrate Solomon in Lakeshire.

Step 3:

  1. Quest Name: The True Masters

  2. Start: Magistrate Soloman

  3. Location: Lakeshire Town Hall

  4. Level: 54

  5. Notes: You are asked to deliver another letter to Highlord Bolvar Fordragon in Stormwind Keep.

Step 4:

  1. Quest Name: The True Masters

  2. Start: Highlord Bolvar Fordragon

  3. Location: Stormwind Keep

  4. Level: 54

  5. Notes: You are asked to take another letter back to Magistrate Solomon in the Lakeshire Town Hall.

Step 5:

  1. Quest Name: The True Masters

  2. Start: Magistrate Solomon

  3. Location: Lakeshire Town Hall

  4. Level: 54

  5. Notes: Magistrate Solomon tells you to return to Morgan's Vigil in the Burning Steppes and to talk to Marshal Maxwell.

Step 6:

  1. Quest Name: The True Masters

  2. Start: Marshal Maxwell

  3. Location: Burning Steppes

  4. Level: 54

  5. Notes: Marshal Maxwell tells you to find and speak to someone named Ragged John in the Burning Steppes. He is located almost directly North of Morgan's Vigil near a cave at the top of the map.

Step 7:

  1. Quest Name: Marshal Windsor

  2. Start: Ragged John

  3. Location: Cave in Burning Steppes

  4. Level: 54 elite

  5. Notes: This is where things start to get harder. You can start this at level 54, but I would not advise it until closer to level 60. Take a full group. You will be heading into Blackrock Depths for this. Marshal Windsor is located in one of the cells towards the right side of the entrance to the instance.

Step 8:

  1. Quest Name: Abandoned Hope

  2. Start: Marshal Windsor

  3. Location: Blackrock Depths

  4. Level: 54 elite

  5. Notes: Again, take a full group of five. The more level 60's you have the easier this will be. Once you talk to Marshal Windsor, he tells you to leave him and talk to Marshal Maxwell again. So it's back to the Burning Steppes for you.

Step 9:

  1. Quest Name: A Crumpled Up Note

  2. Start: Crumpled Up Note

  3. Location: Blackrock Depths

  4. Level: 54 elite

  5. Notes: After you talk to Marshal Maxwell, the chain seems to end. You must go back to Blackrock Depths and kill enemies until one of them drops the crumpled note. It is a random drop, but luckily does not seem to take long to get. When you do find it, you must take it to Marshal Windsor, who is still sitting in his jail cell in Blackrock Depths.

Step 10:

  1. Quest Name: A Shred of Hope

  2. Start: Marshal Windsor

  3. Location: Blackrock Depths

  4. Level: 58 elite

  5. Notes: Marshal Windsor asks you to find his lost information. There are two pieces, they are dropped by General Angerforge and Golem Lord Argelmach.

Step 11:

  1. Quest Name: Jail Break!

  2. Start: Marshal Windsor

  3. Location: Blackrock Depths

  4. Level: 58 elite

  5. Notes: This is the infamous escort quest that you have probably heard about at some point in guild chat or in your travels. This quest is actually extremely easy to do, provided you take the right precautions. Before ANYONE accepts the Jail Break! quest from Marshal Windsor, you must clear the path that he will be walking to retrieve his gear. There are two main areas you must clear, the first being the ring in which his cell is located, the other being the Ring of the Law. Make sure you clear out the cells along the way as well. Even if you clear out the path, there will still be enemies that spawn to attack you. Make sure your tanks are on their toes, you don't want Marshal Windsor dying and he is a pretty weak guy at this point in time. And no you cannot heal him during the fights, he will refill by himself after each one is over. After you are done, go back to

Morgan's Vigil in the Burning Steppes and talk to Marshal Maxwell.

Step 12:

  1. Quest Name: Stormwind Rendezvous (Raid)

  2. Start: Marshal Maxwell

  3. Location: Burning Steppes

  4. Level: 63 elite

  5. Notes: Head to the gates of Stormwind. You may have to wait a few seconds for Marshal Windsor to spawn at the gates, once he does, talk to him to continue the quest chain.

Step 13:

  1. Quest Name: The Great Masquerade (raid)

  2. Start: Marshal Windsor

  3. Location: Stormwind gates

  4. Level: 63 elite

  5. Notes: You will now have to follow Marshal Windsor through Stormwind, talk to him to start the quest. He will stop to talk to General Marcus Johnathan, just let him yap and eventually you will be told to follow him to the keep. When you get to the gates of the keep, he will stop and tell you to give him the signal when you are ready. Just click him again and you will have to follow him into the keep. When you get to Highlord Bolvar Fordragon, you listen to some arguement and then Lady Onyxia will spawn. At this point, if you are melee get the hell out of the way and DO NOT try and help Bolvar. He will be fighting a bunch of level 62 elites. When I did it, a crit of 1300 damage didn't even budge one of their HP bars. Bolvar will be taking them down, you can do this with just one ranged class helping.

Step 14:

  1. Quest Name: The Dragons Eye

  2. Start: Highlord Bolvar Fordragon

  3. Location: Stormwind Keep

  4. Level: 63 elite

  5. Notes: Bolvar will give you a medallion, take it to Winterspring. You must find an NPC named Haleh. He is in a cave to the south/middle of the Winterspring map. The cave is full of elite drgaons and dragonkin. So either take a group, or get naked and start corpse running. At the back of the cave is a blue glowy thing on the ground. Step on it to get teleported to Haleh.

Step 15:

  1. Quest Name: Drakefire Amulet

  2. Start: Haleh

  3. Location: Winterspring

  4. Level: 63 elite

  5. Notes: Haleh tells you to retreive the Blood of the Black Dragon champion from General Drakkisath. This means you have to go to Upper Blackrock Spire. This will take a raid group of 10-15 people. General Drakkistah only drops a few blood each time. Return to Haleh and he will give you your key to Onyxia. Congratulations! Now you can join other players in attempting to kill her!

Horde

Step 1:

First you have to travel to Kargath in Badlands and go to a tower not long away from where you landed if you flew. In this tower there is a guy called Warlord Goretooth. Talk to him and go trough his conversation you will then receive a letter. Warlord Goretooth's Command. (I think it was a letter) Right-click on the letter and you will receive a quest, Warlord's Command.

Step 2:

In this quest you have to travel to Lower Blackrock Spire. As Jame has written a wonderful guide to this place, why not use it? http://www.wow-pro.com/node/593

When you have completed Warlord's Command you will receive the quest, Eitrigg's Wisdom.

Step 3:

Travel to Orgrimmar and go to Thrall's Chamber and talk to his adviser, Eitrigg (a speech bubble) and then complete the quest at Thrall, he will give you the quest, For the Horde!.

Now you have to travel to Upper Blackrock Spire and kill Warchief Rend Blackhand. Just jump on to a normal UBRS raid, as Rend is not able to bypass. When you complete the quest, everyone in Orgrimmar will receive a buff.

Step 4:

Thrall asks you to seek out Rexxar who roams from north Feralas, through Desolace, and into southern Stonetalon Mountains. Rexxar will give you the quest, The Testament of Rexxar.

Now you have to deliver Rexxar's Testament to Myranda the Hag in Western Plaguelands. Myranda the Hag is located near Uther's tomb, south of Andorhal, standing on a tree stump. She will give you the quest, Oculus Illusions.

Step 5:

Once again you have to go to UBRS and get some Black Dragonspawn Eyes from the dragnkins inside. They drop 1-2 at a time and are common. It should be enough with one run Sticking out tongue When you turn in the quest you will get an Amulet of Draconic Subversion and the quest, Emberstrife.

Step 6:

Travel to Emberstrife's Den in Dustwallow Marsh, it´s the cave at the cliff to the very south. The Amulet of Draconic Subversion will transform you into a Black Scalebane once inside Emberstrife's Den. While disguised, speak to Emberstrife. He will behave as an NPC. He will give you three quests called The Test of Skulls, Skryer/Somnus/Chronalis.

  1. Go to Winterspring with a group of five people and enter the caves of Maztoril, south of Everlook, work your way in and kill Scryer.

  2. Somnus can be found in the Swamp of Sorrows, wandering in an arch up and down the zone between the Pool of Tears and the beach.

  3. Chronalis can be found in Tanaris along the east edge of the zone is a mountain, Enter the area and you will find two low level dragons and then, Chronalis. Kill him and return to Emberstrife and get the quest, The Test of Skulls, Axtroz.

Step 7:

Axtroz can be found in Wetlands, at the Dragonmaw Gates region, the curved valley area in the east side of the zone. Travel down the valley and you will find Axtroz. Kill him and return to Emberstrife to receive the quest, Ascension...

Step 8:

Now you have to find Rexxar again. He will give you the quest, Blood of the Black Dragon Champion.

Now you have to travel to UBRS again and this time kill General Drakkisath. Kill him, and get the blood of him.

NOTE: General Drakkisath only drops 2-3 bloods each kill.

Step 9:

Return to Rexxar and you will receive the Drakefire Amulet, a necklace.

Keep the Drakefire Amulet in your inventory to be allowed access into Onyxia's Lair.

You are now eligible to raid Onyxia, Brood Mother of the Black Dragonflight!

    • Special Offer until 31 November, only 70euros.
    • We have the best prices for Adena on L2Reborn. discord - adver745645
    • Played the first 20 lvls in the OBT, very promising indeed. Quests seemed to be working fine for the most part although there's no need for the repetitive quests in the start since with x3 rates (x4 with premium which is pretty cheap tbh) adena from mobs outperforms the repetitive quests since you outlevel them in the early stage before you finish the quest, one time quests are good though and that's where is the juice. Idk how the og elixir was since I was a kid but this is definetely going to be much easier than your usual x1-2 no buffs server since GK is free for the first 40 lvls and you get basic 6 basic normal buffs even after low levels, that's not a bad thing for a lot of people though. Will be there on the opening.
    • This post originally appeared on MmoGah. As the global release of Aion 2 draws near, players are eagerly preparing to dive into this highly anticipated MMORPG. Beginner-Friendly Classes If you’re new to MMORPGs or unsure where to start, these classes offer straightforward mechanics: 1. Templar – Durable, beginner-friendly tank. 2. Cleric – Essential healer with clear roles in group content. Solo vs. Group Play Some classes excel in solo play, while others shine in groups: - Best Solo Classes: Gladiator, Ranger, Spiritmaster (good sustain and flexibility). - Best Group Classes: Templar (tank), Cleric (healer), Chanter (support). PvP Recommendations For competitive players who enjoy PvP: - 1v1/Small-Scale PvP: Assassin (stealth burst) or Sorcerer (burst + CC).  - Large-Scale PvP: Spiritmaster (debuffs) or Templar (frontline disruption). Team Composition Tips Building a balanced party is crucial in Aion 2. Consider these combinations for optimal synergy: - Tank + DPS + Healer: Templar + Sorcerer + Cleric (classic setup).  - Buff-Oriented Group: Gladiator + Chanter + Cleric (durability + support).    Final Thoughts Aion 2 offers a rich variety of classes tailored to different playstyles. Whether you prefer tanking, dealing damage, or supporting your team, there’s a class that fits your preferences. To summarize: - For beginners: Start with Templar or Cleric. - For high damage: Choose Gladiator, Assassin, or Sorcerer. - For strategic gameplay: Go with Spiritmaster. - For support roles: Opt for Cleric or Chanter. Still undecided? Share your preferred playstyle—solo adventuring, competitive PvP, or cooperative group play—and you’ll find the perfect class to begin your journey in Aion 2!
