[Ultimae Guide][Install Your Own SMF For Free]

Hi all!i decided to make a Guide about "how to install a smf forum at your website for free",becouse many ppl dont know

how to do it.My English is not so good,so i will upload pictures. :D

I will show you 2 ways to make a SMF forum, 1 easy and 1 more hard and how to make your sub-domain (yourdubdomain.smfnew.com or yourdubdomain.zxq.net or whatever) to .tk

Ok...Lets Start! WIth the Hard way 1st

Programs/Accounts/Links which we will need

x10hosting Here we will host our SMF forum and we will take aour SUB-Domain

SMF From there we will download our SMF Files

Simple Machines Forums [sMF]

---

1:Download SMF version 2.0.2 from here and save the zip at dektop (DONT EXTRACT IT)

2: we will come back later at SMF zip

How To Create an Account at 000webhost

---

1: Go Here

2: Press the button "register" to register you account

3: Fill the register Form

4: and then the CP(control panel) will appear

5:Go to your e-mail and activate your account by pressing at the activation link

7: now we are at Cpanel.Find the "File" board and press the button "File Manager"

8: you will see something like that:

9:press the "public_HTML"

10: and here we will upload the zip file that we downloaded before from Simple Machines Forums.So press the "upload"

11: Then Upload the Zip.Be careful find the Zip uploader,no the normal file uploader

12: and press

13: when all the files will be uploaded find this and press it. and you will go again back at file manager

14: now go again at the main Control Panel and find the »  Software / Services Board and press the MySQL table

15: Make a new database by filling the form and then press "Create Database Button"

16: now we have the info about our database..Write or save the info somewhere becouse we will need them later

17: now to go File managaer,"public_html" and find the install.php php and open it

18: now open the install.php file

19:now we are at the SMF installer,press Continue

20: now c/p the info from database  like i did and press Continue

21:Now Write The Forum's name and press Continue

22:Press Continue

23: now tou will register your administrator account and press continue

24: we finished! now press your URL sub domain and Have fun! Mine is http://smfdemo.uphero.com/

1: go here and press "Sign Up For Free" green button

2:Fill the register form

3: your forum is ready!:D

Q:Whcih way from that 2 that i show you is better?

A:The better is the hard way Becouse you have moreadministrator proviliges and no-one control you

 

Q: why the 1st way is more hard?

A: 1St way is more hard becouse you make the Forum fot the start,and the 2nd is more easy becouse the SMFnew.com provides you a forum that you dont have a lot of priviliges

1: go Here

2: Write the url that you want to have (i write SMFdemo) and press "GO"

3:The fill the Form

at "Use your new domain" use the sub-domain that you want to make .tk
