[HELP] MySQL Server has gone away problem!

Hello everyone!

so i use the last l2jserver H5 revision...

so, i don't know why! but when i'm going to install the `npc` table in the database with all the npc's,

it show me that error!

Does anyone know WTF is this?!

Verify the line beginning by

The end must be truncated.

 

If not it's either a syntax error, a missing ' punctuation, or whatever which make mysql angry.

What exactly i have to do here?

the line is:

there is no a syntax error...

cause i tested it and with the clear npc.sql file from SVN and it give's me the same error!

(cause on the other file i have input some npc's!)

so... i have mysql community server

(downloaded from here: http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/)

so i see this topic with that fix but it don't work on me...

so as i see on this topic they edit the my.cfg.

i don't have this file on the MySQL folder... i see some comment's and they said, they edit my.ini file...

i have this file but on ths file don't have the options:

wait_timeout = 120

or

innodb_lock_wait_timeout = 120

and

max_allowed_packet = 14M

 

but...

i find that options on

my-innodb-heavy-4G.ini

but i change the options from:

innodb_lock_wait_timeout = 120

and

max_allowed_packet = 14M

to:

innodb_lock_wait_timeout = 6000 and 20000

and

max_allowed_packet = 64M

 

but still don't work!

ok i made an other way that it works!

i put the npc.sql file to other 3 .sql files and works perfect!

 

but the question now is....

why it show me that error, when i was install the npc.sql and before and don't show me that error!

any answer about that?!

Two possibilities :

- you reinstalled mySQL and it dropped your ancient values about max_allowed_packet

- your SQL was at the possible limit, you added something on it (some lines or such) or decided to regroup queries, and the packet becomes too big.

 

In order to avoid that issue coming back, either :

- cut your SQL query which bugs in multiple little queries (instead of having one big query of 5000 entries, you make 5 of 1000 entries).

- up max_allowed_packet value (tempoary solution as it is linked to your own mySQL installation and so on others mySQL servers it could be too short).

1. i reinstalled mysql 2 times to see if is from mysql side the problem! but nothing

2. i do that... i make npc.sql, 5 files to make mysql to can take this!

      Custom NPC title color

      Hello, I'd like to change a title color for custom npc.  I created custom NPC, cloned existing. I put unique id for it in npcname-e, npcgrp and database. I have "0" to serverSideName in db, so that it would use npcname-e, but instead it has "NoNameNPC"and no title color change.
