This is true,I've played Tera and it has quite a lot of similarities with Lineage's gameplay and graphics.

Furthermore,it makes sense with the news report that L3's sourcecode was stolen by employees and sold to a rival company,about 3 years ago.

So no,there won't be a Lineage 3.

However,I've read that there will eventually be a Lineage Eternal game,featuring Diabl-esque gameplay.

The sad story is that NC Soft was planning to create a new L3 , i mean after Tera story but because recently Nexus (another big MMO company in Korea) bought a lot of % of NC Soft influenced them to stop the project rofl , focus more on Blade & Soul/Lineage Eternal Q_Q

Long video but gives loads of information , this is Lineage 1 remastered. Also the way the skills are executed is quite nice to be honest but still , Korean MMO , grind 9999 hours personally i'm done with this ;P

Since when Tera is called Lineage 3?

I see no asimilarity on it,no olympiad system, very very very very different and complex combat system, a race can have same classes over and over again ,what things from lineage 2 are on tera? tell me

I just saw a vid looks like diablo3. I am thinking to start playing Tera, the graphics are super wow, a combination of wow, aion and lineage2 classes/races/mobs/features :-P

Dont even bother here.

 

It is however similar to Lineage Eternal in terms of combat. It's just that TERA is 3rd person free cam and LE is isometric.

 

That's pretty much it.

Just another marketing trick to make Lineage players go into nostalgia mode , game with no personality by itself needs that.

I find no similarity to Aion , they don't even share a single feature , also L1 was hack and slash , Lineage Eternal is hack and slash and all the Diablo series is hack and slash , that did you expect.

 

Also the skills are executed in a unique way (talking about l eternal)
