Raule
In the following we explain how to close the 'own' computer only by phone. We will need the email client Mozilla Thunderbird, an add-on for it and some settings. 1. Download and install Mozilla Thunderbird After installation we will need to configure an email account to use the application, or create a new account or use an existing one and configure it. 2. Download and install add-on [/ COLOR] Save 2.1 add-on 2.2 Opening Mozilla Thunderbird and go to Tools -> Add-ons 2.3 After installation, restart the application. 3. Configure your inbox. Create a folder under the inbox where all messages sent will be redirected in order to close the PC. Right click on the index, New Folder, then name it whatever you want, in my case Shutdown. Tools -> Message Filters. Click on New to create a new filter, then configure it as follows. The idea, in this case is that all messages with the subject 'Shut The -beep- Down' will be moved to the Shutdown folder that I created under Inbox. In my case 'Shut The -beep- Down' but you can replace it with anything else. 4. Configuring add-on. Create a bat file type that contains shutdown.exe-s shutdown.bat name it and move it to the folder where you installed Mozilla Thunderbird. In Thunderbird, click the Shutdown folder, Tools -> Mailbox Alert Preferences and make the Check the 'Execute the command', select the file and OK shutdown.bat. IMPORTANT: Be sure you select the folder before making settings in 'Mailbox Alert Preferences' otherwise you off your PC every time you get a new email. To reduce the time between when the received message and fighting the PC when you run the command, go to Tools -> Account Settings -> Server Settings and replace 'Check for new messages Every' 10 minutes with a Now you can lock your own PC from anywhere, as long as it is connected to the Internet and you have a phone. Try to send a message to your email address with the subject in my case 'Shut The -beep- Down', if you have set as your filter. If everything was done correctly, when Thunderbird will check posts, the PC should be closed
