Hello guys.

 

I stoped playin Lineage II since 6 months and started readin books about java and several other stuff.

I am looking for a good staff to dev a server with me. (it should be a non profit server -no donations- and based on learning java and other languages).

 

Only thing i  am def sure is : it should be a faction server.

 

Ive got a root server located in germany :

Space : 200 GB

Domains : 50

Ram : 4 GB

Dynamic Ram : 8 GB

CPU : 2x 1,5 GHz

With 2 own Ip's

 

Should be enough to start working on.

 

No costs for the staff or 3rd persons.

 

What i am looking for?

~ 1-2 java dev (get the server running with me - preconfigured SP and DP is welcome)

~ 1 web dev ( doin all web stuff like HP)

- u have to edit a few things with me in datapack i preconfigured so far.

- get it running on the root server

- coding few inspirations

You're late of some years, the time of developers being recruted by low-knownledge ppl is ended (did it simply begun ?). And I agree I made fast conclusion about your java knowledge, apologize if it's wrong.

 

You got more luck in marketplace.

 

Btw think (and eventually other smartasses (again a fast conclusion) who want to make a server with 0 knowledge and make such topic) : if a developer got enough knowledge to dev a faction server, he will do it alone. What's the point to share 50% of donations with someone who don't know a shit about ? Believe me, if you got good ideas, it doesn't mean others ppls haven't.

 

PS : how you answered to previous posts, I smell the big counter-attack on my post :D. My post isn't evil, just realist. Think about it.

if u would read the post carefully u would see that it is a non-profit server wich means there are no donations. The server will be uploaded for ppl (actually the further staff) who want to learn something about java  - learning by doing - . Its not like a server its more like a project and i want to give ppl the chance to get into this. Btw I know something about java but in a totally other way of programing. It isnt a counter - attack its just a "omgreadthepostcarefullyandifudonthavesomethingserioustosayjustleaveit" post.

Unfortunately, he is perfectly right :P. That's one freaking column on characters table and some checks over java code to make it working. Added to that many faction engines have been shared with time (I can give you 3 exemples : laikeriz, sethek, and coyote (adapted from L2JFree).

 

Don't treat ppl like kiddos when yourself has no clue about what you talk about.

 

Another thing, recruiting randomers is the best way to make your project fails.

I'm not trying to be funny. You came on here about a project and from your description it sounds exactly like what I said. You don't learn things by watching other people do it, you learn it by doing yourself. I've watched the NASA rocket launches about 100.000 times but that doesn't mean I know how to do it.

 

Also you insulted the developers that come to this board to help people and from the looks of you don't have a single clue what you're doing. Which don't get me wrong, isn't bad. People come here for help and other people are around to help. Your shitty attitude towards the people here are another thing though.

 

Working in the business, I can tell you if the first thing I heard was "Well, I'm sure about this one feature but I have no real plan for everything else" I'd probably laugh you out of the room. You may be doing this as 'non-profit', but that doesn't mean things in the real world still cost time and money. You know all those nice non-profit organizations that still have nice professional looking stuff? It's all paid by donation money, or they're not a real 'non-profit' company.

 

I haven't been posting here much, but I've been lurking for some time. But people like you really piss me off. You're the kind of people that don't even attempt things first without asking questions. And then when you get called out you act pompous and arrogant like we're obligated to help you. We all have troubles and even the best programmers get stuck, but it's insulting when we put in effort to really try when you cut corners.

 

By the way, you don't learn a programming language by jumping directly into the application of it without basic knowledge first.

I mean, you can't learn java by making faction server in l2j. Try to make something on your own and not l2j related.

      I'm looking for someone to remove GameGuard from a game that uses XTRAP. The game no longer uses XTRAP. I have a game server. But the client is kicked from the game after a few minutes of logging in. If I try to remove XTRAP (just by deleting it), the game opens and closes quickly.   Send me a PM.
