there are many things that need to be reworked on l2j and that things can't be reworked because if you want to change something, you need to change many things in other classes.

so, new l2jfree is, in fact, a big rework.

anyway, i wish team good luck and inspiration, provide us a good stable and unique pack. let there be three platforms - l2jserver, l2dream and brand new l2jfree genesis.

7 years since L2 Emulation started, and there is still people fighting for: ¿ who have the penis more big ?

seriously guys, wtf!

L2J, L2JFree and any other Fork "IS GREAT", if the project follow the spirit of L2J Emulation, Free Software & Open Source.

If the l2j team wouldnt suck so hard we would not have forks and we would still have 1 big team and a great pack why you cant understand that one?

Sorry man thats not about penis thats just about the fact that we cant work with l2j because everyone stucked with it.

And about open source...says the team who went for a while to releases which is not so open source? :)

I understand everything, thats why I'm not against forks ;)

Forks are necessary in Open-Source Projects to get different ideas, as you can see most of the Open-Source projects have Forks, and Linux is not an exception :P

Forks born from human nature, due all humans think different, and have differents ways to follow life or development ways ;)

Nono i said l2j was a weird open source thing with the releases ONLY because of the reason of extremly stupid leadership, huge ego,money...

While i laughed my ass off when i seen the letter to the forks i was sadly disappointed that a team thats here for such a long time can switch to that level of stupidity.

And you are right forks are necessary but do they worthy for anything?i dont think so most of them are worse than the original source, and as far as l2jfree well we will be a new emulator not a fork so... :)

that "letter to the forks" you mentioned, I remember was created (for the bad forks), because some of these forks started to no respect the GPL lisence, and some of them started to just copy code from others but removing the credits from the original author, and related things.

come on l2j have the most leeched code still :)

globalvariables = worse version of l2jfree persistent properties

rnd = bad copy of l2jfree rnd

l2itemtype = l2jfree abstractl2itemtype

not even mentioning the mapregion which is so similar to the l2jfree mapregion system :D

Its open source its fine but come on atleast dont pretend l2j is the good boy :D

lol, the new mapregion was made from scrath, based on retail structure/system ;)

the old one (from tables) no idea because I joined on L2J (2006/2007) when it was already done :P

others things taken from L2JFree are already with his credits just take a look, for example:

MELERIX is right , l2j is the creator of such a golden thing... It gives you the opportunity to explore the game...

As i know l2j files are only to make tests and explore how the game is thats why is legal.

So about features etc i think you dont need to fight because i believe the law is broken, if i am right correct me...

Anyway i will still support l2j for this work of years and ok l2jfree is good too and will be "even better than l2j" but you shouldnt insult their work Maestro...

And about the New Emulator thingie... Since is java coded wont be a new emulator ... Why? Because you will clean the source and make a <<MEGA - Refactor?>> ..

Anyway i am out of this... just try to help each other instead of creating and fighting who was the best penis on e-net

    • Lineage2 Freya High Five @ Reshade with fog and rain etc @ Gracia final epilogue atmosphere   this reshade will eat lots of GPU power 50% or more of an RTX 3060 so be carefull depending on what effects are activated and their settings will eat even more GPU recomended 60hz monitor settings and via nvidia panel in Lineage2 game profile vsync settings to on effects are set up till film deck and the rest are not used but still working again this can eat alot of GPU Don't overheat GPU this is for freya high five but might work on others too copy in the  System  folder the folder  reshade-shaders  and the files  d3d9.dll  ReShade.ini  ReShadePreset.ini  ReShade.log  CccDddCcc.ini insert opens the menu and delete is on and of some settings need  ctrl + left click  to be changed   making another profile will reset the not activated effects to their default values so just copy the profile  CccDddCcc  and rename if needed also something needs to be closed from settings in game menu, the blur at distance and advanced shaders but keeping the advanced water effects all reflections   for those that don't like the h5 look of the sky and the red fog and rain and ambien red at night on all maps well if we want the cool gracia final epilogue back then we need to do this rename the  Maps  folder to Mapsretail or whatever copy the  Maps  folder from gracia final epilogue to h5 also we need the  L2_Skies.utx  from gracia final epilogue  Textures  folder to be replaced and also we need to do the same to the files  timeenv0.int  timeenv1.int  timeenv2.int  timeenv3.int  found in  system  folder   another setting that will probably be needed but not really tested out is to open file  option.ini  from  system  folder and add cachesize like this   [FirstRun] FirstRun=2   [Engine.GameEngine] CacheSizeMegs=512   also maybe is good to change those to 4.000000   [ClippingRange] Terrain=4.000000 Actor=4.000000 StaticMesh=4.000000 StaticMeshLod=4.000000 Pawn=4.000000       sorry bad english   https://mega.nz/file/aRNXxDrQ#mbxrNERBtW0XEEezK6w8-86oZWuX1k6NgtR6RZWKRVM   the compression on the video is kinda bad but meh
