What about these computers? Which one is better(money/performance/age resistance)?

GIGABYTE GA-M68MT-S2P ~ 49.90 €

AMD ATHLON II X2 250 3.0GHZ DUAL CORE BOX ~ 54.87 €

MSI R6450-MD1GD3H 1GB PCI-E RETAIL ~ 56.80 €

KINGSTON KHX1333C9D3B1K2/4G 4GB (2X2GB) HYPERX BLU DDR3 ~ 50.90 €

ASUS CROSSHAIR IV FORMULA RETAIL ~ 202.00 €

AMD PHENOM II X6 1100T 3.3GHZ SIX-CORE BLACK EDITION ~ 190.98 €

ASUS EAH5850 DIRECTCU/2DIS/1GD5 1GB PCI-E RETAIL x2 ~ 378.00 €

KINGSTON KHX1600C9D3T1BK3/12GX 12GB (3X4GB) PC3-12800 HYPERX BLACK XMP T1 TRIPLE CHANNEL KIT ~ 169.00 €

Let's say that I have the money for the second computer. You think it's too expensive and I can find a better one with less/same money?

And because you may wonder what for I need a computer with this performance:

1) Adobe After Effects

2) Cinema4D

3) Adobe Illustrator

4) Adobe Photoshop

5) All new games

Last time I used Photoshop on a computer with 2.7GHz core and 6GB RAM and a shitty GPU it was tooooo slow. Plus that I couldn't use bigger size(3x5 meters) for a poster I was creating. (Not enough memory and shits).

First of all , the first PC is too cheap and the parts of it won't last for long (even now they are sucky , Athlon is a very old tech similiar to Pentium , they are like 10 y.o.)

The second one is a better choice , it's parts will last for long and you won't even need to upgrade it for long long time.

But the GPU you picked sucks , it's from last year plus it's a cheap model (ending with 50 = cheap , ending with 70 = medium , ending with 90 = ultra)

Crossfire is only gonna help you on games , and these GPUs ain't anything special or good to buy two of them , better get one strong than 2 weak

example

http://www.plaisio.gr/Computers/Hardware/SVGA/Sapphire-6970-PCI-Express-GDDR5-2GB-21187-00-40R.htm

Simply superior , it's one it's strong and you gonna spent 60 euro less

Mobo looks fine

Ram looks fine

CPU is fine

But don't forget , HDD plays a vital part then we talk about performance. SSD = Pure win but they cost quite much and they are small then we are talking about GBs , it depends on your pocket if you ask me.

About your last sentence , dud even if you have 9.99 Ghz cpu with 32GB DDR4 and you got a sucky prehistoric GPU it will still lag , all the hardware must be balanced in order to have a healthy PC , with the meaning of everything going smoothly

HDD = Capacity

SSD = Speed

HDD tech is OLD , has many many flaws plus they are unstable as fk. I may sound hyperbolic but still i'm right ,  the thing you could do is : buy a 2TB HDD and a SSD (OCZ Agility 3 , 60 GB or 120GB your choice)

All your stuff , backup etc. on the 2TB and OS/basic programs which you will be running on SSD , imo you gonna be fine.

About the GPU , this one ain't bad but still i would recommend a xx70 series , they are closer to premium , xx50s are cheap model.

Maybe 6870 instead of 6850 you picked , but 6970 is superior , but if you can afford it of course.

It can play 999 lols with this one , i chose this instead of a graphic card of 40euro cause you will probably gonna play another game expect Lol which possibly will need a stronger graphic card. With this one i guess you gonna be fine cause i guess your γούστα ain't heavy

How you see what's the series are? @Phoenix

I just know how ATI is setting their numbers for years now

example

6990 =

first digit = generation , 6000 series is generation of 2010 so 5000 series is 2009

second digit = rank. the higher the number is , close to 9 , the better it is.

3=ultra cheap

5 = medium

7=pro

9=xtreme

the third digit is the  level of the card similiar to 2nd digit the higher the number is , close to 9 , the better it is.

so it goes like the above

3=ultra cheap

5 = medium

7=pro

9=xtreme

So this year (2011) AMD is gonna release the next generation (7xxx series) and the best is gonna be the 7990.
