aneos Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 well guys I've been searching for this and finally I found something pretty interesting... This guide will show you how to setup Dual-boxing with Octopus (Playing 2 chars in one computer) This program isn’t “illegal” which means blizzard won’t ban you. I am using it right now and it's 100% risk free 1.)Download and install Octupus ( http://rapidshare.com/files/202244308/Octopus.zip.html ) 2.)Download and install .Net ( http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=333325fd-ae52-4e35-b531-508d977d32a6&displaylang=en ) 3.)Run Octopus 4.)You will start on the tab Status, press the ‘…’ key where it says Profile default. 5.)Remove the default profile, and press new, call it “wow” or something like that. 6.)Now press new at the instance place. 7.)This is how it should look like Name: wow1 Game: localhost:wow Display: 1 Maximizer: Topmost window √ Receive broadcast keys Receive broadcast clicks Receive broadcast cursor (1 per client) Notice: add as many you want too, will depend on how many accounts you got. So lets just say you got two, just add another one with same settings, and the name, wow2. 8.)Now the Status tab is done, go to Server tab. Keys; Here you add the keys that you DON'T want to be broadcast between windows (e.g.:a,s,d,w or stuff like that...) http://i496.photobucket.com/albums/rr327/naneos/octopus2.jpg[/img] 9.)Go to the client tab now, and go to Games. Press New, and just write wow in the tag, and then press the ‘…’ button, now find your wow folder and double click the Wow.exe and click ok. Usually it's "C:\Programmer\World of Warcraft\Wow.exe" http://i496.photobucket.com/albums/rr327/naneos/octopus3.jpg[/img] 10.)Now you’re almost done. Go to the Status tab again.. Press Start. Click on the button, Instances, and then on the Run all key.. Now it will open the x numbers of wow’s you added in the 1st step, in my case two... 11.)Login all your characters 12.)Go to Octopus program and in the broadcast bar (at the bottom) click "Broadcast keys" 13.)Put your chars to follow 1 char, and then go do whatever you want! :) Don't forget to make some good macros...!
