I agree with you, but the milking was out of control. Players just don’t trust anymore. You log into a new server and suddenly need 20 euros just to be somewhat playable. There’s no environment for solo players to enjoy the game, progress, and naturally find friends or form parties. Most of the people who make servers have either never played the game seriously, or if they did, it was so long ago that they’ve completely lost touch with the player experience.

In my opinion, L2 is dead because the people who make servers didn’t adapt to today’s reality. People are getting older, life moves faster, there are more responsibilities, and less free time. And I’m not even talking about newcomers—how can you expect someone new to this game to learn by Googling every drop location or quest requirement? These things should’ve been integrated into the game, made accessible with just a few clicks through the interface. Instead, so much time was wasted trying to recreate retail-like features that no one asked for. Everyone hates autofarm, but why? Because admins never found a smart way to implement it. You could have made it available only in specific zones, with reduced drops, working like Adrenaline, or auto-teleporting to farm for a limited time per day—just enough to help people with limited time stay relevant in-game. There should also be zones with better drops, where active farming actually matters. Other features feel pointless—like the Life Stone system. Spamming LS to get a skill? Instead, you could create a system where you level up the skill with low chances per level, something that feels progressive and fair. Crafting should be simpler too. Right-click a recipe, and the required materials should show up right there. As for sieges, why not create daily clan war events at peak hours—one for Europeans, one for Latinos? You could spawn crystals inside or outside castles that give points and trigger PvP. Add a boss during the event that gives even more points, and let the top clan in the ranking take the castle. I could go on forever, but what’s the point? The community died because the people who had the knowledge to improve the game just took the easy way out, copying the same server formula over and over until no one could enjoy playing it anymore.

Does anyone have the patch as they removed it? I want to take some features.

Thank you guys for your responses. I kept the server open without restarting and i tryied to log in again today and I looged in normally without any problems and then I tryied to create several accounts in short time and again it got stuck and the same error 'too many unkown packets' appeared. I am just the one created the accounts and the IP is mine. I appreciate all your comments.

Hello, I am working on l2jacis source with custom features but when I leave the server online for several hours it gets stuck after few hours character start lagging until they are unable to move and log in gets stuck too but the status remain 'Light'. After few attempts to log in, somehow i managed to create a character but on log in game got a critical. Also, the pack is on a 8gb vds. I attached a screenshot of the console.

I am trying to edit the color of a monster that all the data are packed in a .ukx file. I used umodel to export texture and change the color but now i want to repack all data of the monster back to the ukx including all the other files that were exported. Is it possible or i did wrongly?

Hello, I am gonna join a brazilian server and the systemmsg-e.dat is in portuguese. I tryied to edit the systemmsg-e.dat with l2fileditor and transfered the files data to google sheet to be able to see clearly the data. After translating i copy/pasted in l2fileditor but when i save nothing changes as the format is probably not correct. Do you have any suggestion?

As I have no clue how to farm a grade s grade items I will kindly ask if you can give suggestions on how to farm efficiently by providing me the following details: - what classes i should play - which locations i should farm and some good alternatives - which items i should rush to build and every other information you think it will be valuable so I start learning to play some real L2.
