  1. Smeli, I´m trying to do some things with C2 system folder, but I´m having some problems. May i send you a pm with some questions? -Thx.
  2. Thx for sharing this. Not so many bugs, but its too soon to say that these files are one of the best releases ´cos as time goes by more bugs will be found. C4pts leaked files had similar bugs back in the day, a lot of them in the IA of major bosses and things that were supossed to be critical for gameplay, but that pack was fixed with time and patience. C1 Sinna leaked files were pretty solid, except for some bugs with numeric consts and players using htmls/Scripts problems. Just relax, take the files, test them, and let it be.
  3. Well, i have 2 different C2 clients. One runs great, but i can´t modify anything in System folder, as when I decrypt any file, modify and encrypt it again, it just wont run. (Its the one with protocol 483) The other one, seems to have a weird issue with gameguard update. Right now im using an old Fyyre l2.exe so i can test different things, but i´d like to run a C2 client withouth using this file. Any help will be appreciated. -Thanks
  4. You´re "almost" right, as collision radius and height do what you say, but as a consequence of what they really do. Height server-side != Height client side. Height tells the server (and the client) the vertical distance from the floor, a low value in height server-side makes the npc to be "shorter", so it will be harder to target it. Height also tells the server if a npc can go throught a room with a low Ceiling defined in geodata. A low value in Height Client-side will make monsters to be half-buried in the ground but wont have any effect in how you target a monster etc etc. Collision radius is almost the same but in the shape of a cylinder and tells the server if a npc is touching another npc, a wall, or anything else. The area within that cylinder contains the npc and is also what you can click to target it. Incorrect values in Collision server-side = a dangerous mess, as Npcs wont follow properly Paths in geodata. Incorrect values client-side... visual mess but... Who cares?.
  5. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=54UFZK6N I´ve uploaded the entire Geodata folder for you, enjoy.
  6. So, you need Geo_index file or the entire geodata folder?. The folder is quite a upload...
  7. http://www.cplusplus.com/ Best C++ site ever. You can go to http://msdn.microsoft.com/ and search for winApi features, i´ve seen sources and examples there
  8. Try "Imperium III" or "Imperium civitas". Those were good old school rts games.
  9. Ncsoft also did other weird things in their "one time every six months" updates like : - Not fixing Cancel till C3. - Not fixing sleep till C5 (thats 5 chronicles with a skill that could disable anything, anywhere, just unleashing the "F1" madness against.... anyone, no matter what class, no matter what level ), and then fixing it the wrong way, only to give trance back to healers again. - No dark magic resistances till ¿hellbound?, not sure about this, that was one of the things that made Howlers and Necros overpowered back in the day. - Not fixing DoTs like... never. Really. There is no reason to use poison since C1 or maybe C3. The only useful DoTs are those of the Warcryer/overlord. - Adding Cp to make pvp´s last longer and two years later everyone could one shot other players. Daggers, Archers, and some weird vortex with crits.... - Nerfing castle gates to 1/3 of their original php + more levels of skills and powerful magic = no one using siege golems. - Stupid changes to clan war system. - Sa´s system was retarded. Everyone went for focus/critdmg or acumen in their weapons. - Set bonuses for A-S-S80, and some of the B grade ones... - Elemental System. - Boss jewels, making the gap between old players and new players even higher. Is like Ncsoft dont know what to do when the time to launch a new chronicle arrives. They just look at wow, silkroad or whatever and try to put in L2 what works in those games without trying to fix what they already have, is like trying to build a tower beginning from the roof. They also try to improve game balance empowering chars, not depowering them when needed, so damage in the game has suffered a exponential growth rendering lvl 1-79 players useless and pointless.
  10. Try to learn some ASM, and search for a guide for Ultraedit (and/or Fhred). Search old post about that in the old ragezone forum, maybe you can find something useful there for this. I warn you that things like ASM or Hex are moderately hard and need a lot of time for learning the basics and to know exactly how the things works.
  11. Well, someone did something like that with the "help button" in "options menu" Back in the old days of C1, Hexing the l2.exe in system and other things so the button wouldn`t show up. So maybe hexing can do the trick, but... it can be so difficult as it can be.
  12. So far, it seems that there is no way to work with the *.unr files using a normal unrealed version. Even if you manage to unpack the unr files and work with them using a modified unrealed (dont know if such a thing does exists), you still need to do a lot of work in Geodata server-side for bridges and walls to work properly.
  13. Star wars and blablabla. I played C1-C4 for the "medieval" look. I liked the good ooooold pvps and those bloody sieges with doors that needed siege golems to be crushed (doors with x3 hp more than nowadays and... back then there were not skills beyond lvl 58-60).
  14. Thank you very much for the quick answer!. I wasn't aware of how striders worked back in the old days. After looking closely at some files, I have another question if it doesn´t bother you : Could you please tell me what are the differences between Fyyre L2server.exe and Lhaim.exe? Fyyre´s weights less Kb´s than the original l2server.exe from sina/meifu packs but it seems to work fine too. Many thanks in advance ;)
  15. Great job!. Im trying it with a C2 client with C1 geodata (sever side) and *.unr packs + textures (client side) for C1 areas and it works like a charm, ¡just perfect!. The only "bugs" i have found so far is some of the striders features. It seems that i can´t put in its inventory more than one bag of food. Also, character riding striders retains weapons and shileds equipped.
