CS1 isn't correct name, it's CS or 8.0. Anyway, I don't see any problem about working with CS, I can create the same graphics in 7.0 as in CS5.. Newer versions are just more compatible with win7, have better performance and more shining and pretty not really important addons. Like you mentioned, you are newbie, but as for newbie it's pretty nice ;)

I don't have any, and for now I'm too lazy to make tutorial and I'm too busy. But I'm not telling that I will not make, I will someday, I just don't have time now.
