Are there any security checks to verify if players really voted? If yes, what kind of?

I used these guides when I was still playing on infiniteaion. They're pretty cool I guess. Well written with pictures and map location. Just make sure to stick to them exactly. Looks to me like a messed up stored procedure lin_CreateItem. Were you editing storedprocedures lately? Are you SURE sql queries you used to create database were ok (too old perhaps? it could result in compatibility problems). Scenario to get an error like this would be: - cached executes lin_CreateItem and sends values 1 2 3 4 5 to mssql. - Stored procedure on mssql only has 4 variables, 1 2 3 4. Value 5 is excessive. To create that you need either forum accessing gameserver, or gameserver accessing forum (presume they're on different hosts). That's how I'd implement it for myself, but reality is about 90% or more l2off servers have a seperate gamecp hosted on gameserver which is in NO WAY connected to forum. This causes a problem since you, yet again, need either gameserver to connect to webserver (to check for user), or webserver to connect to gameserver (to grant permission to user for registering). In which case you must either allow one forum account to register several game accounts, or allow users to register many forum accounts for 1gameaccount = 1 forum account. Latest one poses a security risk since you're basically shouting, HEY LOOK, MY ACCOUNT NAME IS... I thought all these ideas through carefully and took the approach that works for me. You must however know that whatever approach you take, forum and gameserver need to be customized in some way. Sure I can integrate nwatch into forum, customize forum to make the whole system work and write necessary scripts on gameserver end if someone desires it, but clearly I won't do it for free ;) p.s. I admire your enthusiasm. <3 it when someone gives suggestions. It's a great source for new ideas! p.p.s L2j version is about half way done. I got it to work fine. All that is left now is bugfixing (1-2 days) and testing (click if you want to help).

I'm almost done with it, however, I need need a couple of databases to compare table/column structure to my current one to be sure it's working for majority of l2j packs. I need only gameserver database. It does not matter what it's filled with, as long as there IS something in it (couple of level 10+ chars with few equipped items will do). No empty DB's please. When you post a database, please tell me: - what pack it is from (l2j, l2jfree, l2jarchid, l2jwhatever) - what character & clanname I should use for testing - what customizations you have done to it (if any). I need table and column names to be unchanged. To export a database through cmd/shell follow steps below: 1. Navigate to folder where you wish to export test database to Example: H: -> enter (if you need to go to higher folder type cd .. few times) 2. Type in export command like this: mysqldump -u username -ppassword databasename>database.sql Example: mysqldump -u root -pmypassword l2java->l2java.sql This is it. Now open folder where you exported database to and upload it somewhere. I'll try to thank those helping me with some kind of reward.

Trades aren't logged in database. They're logged in files. ;) Problem with this is, a user can have many characters. To make problem worse, his forum name may not even be the same as his ingame one. To solve this you can make a user enter his nickname on forum manually. BUUUT that is a potential for abuse since like that any player could set a name from somebody else.

Thanks for the referral but this guy isn't serious. He contacted me for nwatch at first and asked me about website as well. I prepared it the way he wanted it, showed him PLENTY of evidence I'm legit. As soon as I sent him rar archive he changed his mind and backed out. He made some silly excuse I'd scam him and so on (according to him he got scammed by qqsake before) despite me: -editing nwatch to his needs in front of him, -showing him link with a preview where he tested it, -showing him referral from other buyers, -sending rar archive so he could verify the content of it by reviewing file names (images, .js/php files and so on) and even -partially blurred to protect privacy) paypal transaction of previous payments. He made no indication that he's uncertain of my agenda and does not wish to purchase; All until he got the rar that is, then he instantly made tons of excuses and finished with "I'll think about it and pm you". Most likely he's now trying to crack the password of that rar archive and get the files for free. Good luck though. He'll need it with the type of pass I used ;) Conclusion: From my experience I don't suggest doing business with him as you may end up scammed. I could be wrong, if I am, I appologize. But all in all, he showed no action he's a serious buyer and plenty as a scammer.
