from my experience, just closing the .bat file doesnt cause any damage, but if its a live server use the admin panel just to be sure... and i cant find any reason why your buffer disappears when the server restart, except if it's the restart thing...

you're gonna have to test it yourself... try different values and test them in-game... no one knows how your server is built so we cant help you with that :P

directories differ from pack to pack... just change the directory in the patch... 99% the patch won't match your files if it is coded on other pack so you're gonna have to apply it manually(search for guide) if the chronicle or pack is different you may gonna have to change things in the codes too... (like imports) but dont expect all patches to be applied automatically to your pack, most of them will need to be added manually... PS: dont bump your threads so soon...
