It's not only outdated. It's even flawed! First try to patch it with hax0r's version. If that even doenst work you should use another install of cs! Try this install: CS 1.6 (v9) And then this patch: Patch v28(Build 3382)

Does youre error occur on every server?

If you dont know which patch you have installed, just type this in console: "version". But without ""! 5 different problems can cause youre problem: #1 - cs version out-dated ! solution: download a patch for youre CS! #2 - bad firmware for youre router. solution: "Click" #3 - serverside problem: mapcycle.txt is too big! solution: contact the server admin #4 - serverside problem: using plguins/mods which are not build for their cs. solution: contact the server admin #5 - serverside problem: server's cs version is too old. solution: contact the server admin -- +k please, when I helped you! I dont believe hat this is REAL 1.8!! This would be public, if its real! I believe its just a modified version. Models replaced and ingame Fonts exchanged. Can someone open the console ingame and put the text right here? Thx. And also I want to know: If you shoot somebody down, is he falling down like a CS 1.6 Player or like a Source Player?

I just want to show you how cs walls become white . Legal + without hacks! 1. Start CS 1.6. 2. Join a random server 3. Open console 4. gl_max_size X X is a value: 512,256,128,64,32,16,8,4,2 or 1 5. Now set 1 for white walls. 6. Connect to another server. With another map! 7. See what happens! -- Works 100% if you create a server on youre own. But in the internet some servers force you to use a higher value. -- What happens? gl_max_size tells CS the highest value for texture space in memory. lower value = lower quality. Maybe there are other values like 0, -1 and so on. But when I tested zero, cs crashed :D ! Screenshots for these values: 1 16 32 64

Try to reinstall another windows version. Maybe its caused by windows updates or other software.

@ 4fun -- Yes! They can join also from other countries. But you can also create a server lan-based.

They will look like before. No changes in the models. Therefore you have to recplace model files. ;)
