  1. Κοίτα, μέχρι μια εποχή το μόνο πρόβλημα από το Community ήταν ότι υπήρχαν μερικά παιδιά (σε ό,τι αφορά την ωριμότητα) και ξεκινούσαν Flame/Rage wars όλη την ώρα. Πλέον απ'ότι βλέπω έχει φτάσει και το ίδιο το IQ σε νέα επίπεδα, γιατί μερικά άτομα από μόνα τους είναι αρκετά για να κατεβάσουν τον μέσο όρο στον πάτο. Ντάξει, κρίμα για τους ξύπνιους και ευσυνείδητους που υπάρχουν εδώ μέσα.. :/
  2. Προσωπικά δεν μου αρέσει να παίζω Poker ηλεκτρονικώς. Το να έχεις τον αντίπαλό σου ακριβώς απέναντι και να μπορείς να τον κοιτάξεις στα μάτια και να καταλάβεις τι χέρι έχει, είναι κάτι που δεν μπορείς να κάνεις μέσω Internet, όταν δεν έχεις καν ιδέα με ποιους παίζεις. Οπότε σχετικά με αυτό δεν μπορώ να σε βοηθήσω..

  4. Η αλήθεια είναι πως ούτε μόνος σου δεν μπορείς να το μάθεις. Όταν σε ένα παιχνίδι η τύχη είναι παράγοντας, όσο μικρός κι αν είναι, τότε ακόμα και ο μεγαλύτερος πρωταθλητής όλων των εποχών έχει πιθανότητες να χάσει από ένα νήπιο. Ναι, είναι απειροελάχιστες, αλλά μαθηματικά μιλώντας εξακολουθούν να υπάρχουν. Αλλά ναι, το να μάθεις να παίζεις σωστά κάθε χέρι, το να διαβάζεις τον αντίπαλό σου, το να διακρίνεις τον τρόπο παιχνιδιού του και να προσαρμόζεις τον δικό σου, κτλ κτλ, όλα αυτά υπάρχουν πολλά βιβλία που μπορούν να στα μάθουν. Απλά σου λέω για το Super System που το 'χω διαβάσει και ξέρω πόσο τρομερό είναι, και που 25 χρόνια μετά τη συγγραφή του εξακολουθεί να θεωρείται η Βίβλος του Poker ;)

  6. Το 'χα διαβάσει όταν το 'χα πρωτοπάρει πριν χρόνια. Δεν είχα ιδιαίτερη εμπειρία, και εννοείται πως βοήθησε υπερβολικά πολύ. Για να σε βοηθήσω να καταλάβεις, στα βιβλία με poker δεν θα μάθεις κάποια μυστική τακτική με την οποία θα νικάς πάντα. Θα μάθεις πώς να χειρίζεσαι τα χαρτιά που σου δίνονται (χωρίζονται σε κατηγορίες), ανάλογα με τη φάση του παιχνιδιού, ανάλογα με τους αντιπάλους σου, κτλ κτλ. Με λίγα λόγια η ανάλυση είναι πάρα πολύ μεγάλη, και γίνεται απ'την πλευρά ενός πολύ σπουδαίου παίκτη, οπότε προφανώς έχεις να κερδίσεις υπερβολικά πολλά πράγματα.

  8. Yes, so the competitiveness would increase even more, and everybody would be continuously trying to be better than everyone else! As long as the server is balanced enough (and not full of high-priviledged donators who rule the world), this could work very well. And instead of that Heroic Aura, the heroes could have a few more priviledges. For example, access to the Heroic Weapons, which will have slightly better stats, or something like that.
  9. Well, for something more advanced, it can be like a daily event. It starts in a specific hour and the players have 10 minutes to join. The first round starts, and each participant fights another. The winner advances to the next round. After all the matches, the players are given a specific time, let's say 10 minutes, to prepare for the next round. Also, they can look at the NPC responsible for the event for information about their next oponent. For example, "Your next opponent is Gleeba, he won his first round match in X minutes and Y seconds and has entered the event using the Saggitarious Class". Then the second round begins, and this goes on until there is a winner. And in the end the winner wins a prize, or if there are many participants, there are prizes for the first "Insert Number Here" winners. And if this is still too simple, there could be branches to this as well. For example, you participate in the event with a friend, and you do 2v2 battles until a team stands victorious. And to make this even more interesting, at the end of the week/2 weeks/month, all the winners of the event are put in a "Champions' League", where they get to fight each other in order to determine the 'Grand Winner', who is going to get an enormous prize. And also people that don't participate in the event can watch it as spectators (just like Oly). And if it is still too simple, people can see what the matches are going to be and place bets with each other about who they think is going to win (like we did in mxc a few years ago, where 2 users bet for a team in the champions league and the winner got karma or adena).
  10. Yeah, only it will be more.. "open", since the players won't be limited to using their original class, and more popular, since it will be like going to PvP Areas to fight, only they will also be getting a prize for it. If the new hero system is implemented, and somebody still wants to do something with the Olympiad, I believe that this could be a possible use for it. Not too complicated, not hard for the players to do or understand, and pretty interesting, since it will promote competitiveness and will make the sever overflowing with players, during the times of the event daily, simply because they will be willing to gain as many PvPs as possible.

We turn it into an event, like a Tournament which lasts for a week, where people fight off each other 1v1, like the Normal Olympiad, only they get to fight with any class they want, and are able to use any item they want (just like a normal 1v1). At the end of the week the person with the most points, or the top 10, or top 20 (depending on how populated the server is), gets to win something. And there can be even more branches to this, since there can be different types of fights, eg. Party versus Party, or 2v2, or Specific Number of Members of one Clan against Specific Number of Members of another Clan, etc.

  14. Again you're missing my point. I'm not saying "Stick with the old pattern". Despite what users make it look like (by feeding, by befriending GMs, etc.) the original Olympiad was DESIGNED to create heroes based on their individual achievements (which in Olympiad's case were winning 1v1 matches in the Stadium). My point is that if a new hero system is to be made, at least it has to be as fair as possible, similar to the original idea of the whole "Olympiad" thing, where everyone is on their own.

  16. I never talked about how difficult or not it would be to code the whole thing. But when applying something into a server you have to consider how balanced and fair it would be. My point here is that you can't make this system completely fair, for the reasons I explained above. And I just believe that it would be fair to determine whether a user is going to be a hero or not, judging only by his individual achievements. That has always been the whole point of the Hero System in L2. Even though at situations like Sieges, or Clan Wars, you have to be a member of a bigger group (Clans/Parties), when it comes to becoming a hero you're all by yourself (playing 1v1 against other players).

Συγκεκριμένα Βιβλιοπωλεία στα οποία να έχω δει το βιβλίο δεν ξέρω (εγώ το είχα παραγγείλει παλιά απ'τη σελίδα του public), όμως σε όποιο βιβλιοπωλείο και να πας μπορείς να τους πεις "Θέλω να κάνω μια παραγγελία, το βιβλίο Super System, από τον Doyle Brunson, εκδόσεις Τριποδάκη" και μέσα σε μερικές μέρες θα στο φέρουν.
  18. The general idea is interesting, however there are a few problems. On one hand, it would be fair to say that you have to take those PvPs with your original class. If the PvPs you win with your subclasses count as well, then people will choose really weak classes in the beginning, just to make sure that there will be less competition. On the other hand, it is true that you can't expect a Swords Dancer or a Bishop to become competitive as far as PvPs are concerned, especially in a 'High-Rates' sever. Apart from that, all that is needed to make this a good feature is a person with imagination, to think of the proper "criteria", and a person to code it.

Βιβλίο για Texas Hold 'Em από Έλληνα συγγραφέα; Και να υπάρχει κάποιο γνωστό (που δεν έχω κανένα ακουστά), δεν θα φτάνει ούτε στο μικρό τους δαχτυλάκι τα βιβλία που έχουν γράψει παίκτες όπως ο Brunson ή ο Negreanu. Αν εννοείς μεταφρασμένο, τότε εννοείται, ακόμα και αυτό που σου πρότεινα εγώ μεταφρασμένο το έχω. Μια βόλτα σε κάποιο βιβλιοπωλείο να κάνεις, ή σε μεγάλο κατάστημα που έχει και βιβλία, θα βρεις άνετα πολλά. Aν το κοίταξες και σε ενδιαφέρει το Super System, και βαριέσαι να βγεις σε μαγαζί για να το ψάξεις, απλά το παραγγέλνεις από κάποιο βιβλιοπωλείο. Εκδόσεις Τριποδάκη.
