I have kept the PSD and when I get the free time again I'll change it. About the coloring, It's done with the default brushes... I would release the PSD but since it is for Dream and not for me I won't. I agree with all of you who say a cooler effect could be applied to his hand. And thanks a lot for the comments guys, it makes me feel good.

For a first try it is very good. But you know usually people don't use photoshop for fractals and these types of render. I could show you some tutorials in which you could do miracles...

Those brushes are usually called Vector Brushes but imo everyone who wants to increase his skill lever should stay away from brushes. Anyway the sig has a flow but lucks of depth, a good lightning and it's just brushes. You can do better than that. P.S. It's strength

Actually AE + PS could do the job alone easily.

I used the default brushes to smudge. Just choose one brush and play around with the settings, Scatter is the key ;P. And when you are using the polygonal tool, keep the shift button pressed so you can get straight lines.

Well, I just saw the portal of MxC and personally I think that it sucks... I mean everyone, even people without experience in designing, can tell that it is a 5 sec work. For example just look at the MGN logo. It is cut out awfully. Even the banners have a very low quality. Take a look over the Lineage text you can see some glow there... I think the portal doesn't represent the community. I am just expressing my opinion. I would like to know what you think...

The quality is super, the colors match together but the size is a way too big... Also the text is not placed well. It seems we have the same problem with the text :P

Yeah the way Blane explained is the easiest one. And this is optional but before you press Delete you could add a 1px Feather. It makes it more "smooth"

And as I mentioned in another post I made, we can't expect from staff members to talk like normal members. I mean that's part of their "job" if you can call it like that. I don't have anything against DreaM, I think he is a cool guy and I wouldn't have a problem to hang around with him. That is just my point of view and I am not only talking about a specific person I am talking generally.

It's a newbie friendly guy, so anyone who knows the basics can do this.

Well, after a lot of requests I made a tutorial on how to create the background of my Avatar. I guess you can figure out how to make the text. I want to hear any comments, if you like it or not. Actually I think you should have plaid more with the Smudge settings and at the left side, not just plain black.
