Do not change the word given. You must use between two and five words, including the word given. Write only the missing words. --- "It was possible that he was having a shower, so he couldn't hear the bell" may "He ................................................ shower, so he couldn't hear the bell." ---- What i made is "he may have having a shower, so he couldn't hear the bell", but im not sure if it is rights. ( book: First Certificate Expert Coursebook - Oxford) so I think magaki you're wrong. Even I have heard "I was having a shower" many times, which meant that I was washing myself. LoL It wants to define an action which happened in the past, had its duration in the past and has now finished. And hell, NO!, it certainly isn't a 'high one'.
