INTRODUCTION

“WoW-Bot” is a fully passive “World of Warcraft” bot developed by Voodoo and sold by botFührer, the previous seller of Omega-bot. Currently the bot is in beta stage and is completely free, users are able to log in with the username: trial and password: trial

FEATURES

Possibly WoW-Bot’s biggest feature is that it does not inject anything into the World of Warcraft client, thus making it at this point in time impossible to detect unless Warden (World of Warcraft’s anti-cheat system) has a big update or Blizzard puts detection code into the client itself which would require a World of Warcraft patch. Unfortunately there is no way to really avoid this form of detection and all bots are susceptible to this, even the best of reverse engineers struggle to prevent this method of detection.

WoW-Bot has no big complicated GUI or complex set up options, rather it chooses to keep things simple with all combat AI hard-coded into the bot, with most classes having different specs supported.

There is very little setup required as previously mentioned, WoW-Bot quickly pastes LUA (WoW’s in game API) commands into the chat box, thus allowing spells to be cast regardless of where they are on the action bar and preventing the need to use the mouse for many other tasks where other bots would require it. However if a user does require more specific settings they are also available in a configuration file, allowing for greater versatility within the bot.

WoW-Bot functions 100% with WoW in the background, meaning that you can browse the internet, watch movies, play games while WoW-Bot bots your character in the background. It should be noted that when WoW is in the background and looting is enabled WoW-Bot will occasionally move your mouse to the centre of the screen to loot a corpse, the process takes very little time and you’ll barely notice it.

The navigation system of WoW-Bot uses a system called a “Nav-Mesh” to put it simply, you don’t have to run around marking an exact path for the bot to follow (although if the user wishes to use this form of navigation it is available) instead the user can just give it a waypoint (a particular ‘co-ordinate’ in WoW) and WoW-Bot can use it’s navigation mesh to find its way there without the user having to provide any sort of manual mapping.

Some other nice features of WoW-Bot is the ability to train new skills, the user just has to map a trainer waypoint and WoW-Bot will automatically go to the class trainer every time a new skill can be learned and it will even use the new skills gained! WoW-Bot can also mail specific items to a specified character, it also has the ability to sell items when your characters bags are full, restock food, water and ammo when your character is running low, even repair when your durability is low.

GETTING STARTED – DOWNLOADING WoW-Bot

To begin create a new folder called WoW-Bot and download the latest version of WoW-Bot and save the file to the WoW-Bot folder you just created. The latest version of WoW-Bot can be found in the “Announcements / Releases” Forum. At the time of Writing the latest version is 1.0.178 so I’m going to download that:

http://wow-bot.com/download/wowbot_1.0.178.rar

You will need some form of Tool to extract it, I recommend WinRAR which can be downloaded at:

WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files

(Make sure you download the correct version for your operating system i.e. x32 or x64)

Now if WinRAR is installed right click on WoW Bot.rar and click “Extract here”

ExtractHere.png

Your folder should now look like this:

GETTING STARTED – INSTALLING THE NAVIGATION FILES

Now that we’ve got the latest version of WoW-Bot we have to download the navigation files that allow WoW-Bot to find its way to any waypoint you give it.

This is a simple process and pretty much exactly the same process as before. Download both the Kalimdor or Azeroth files (you can just download one of them if you only play one faction obviously) Make sure you save the file you’re downloading to the “nav” folder in your WoW-Bot folder, if you don’t have this folder create it:

Kalimdor:

http://wow-bot.com/download/Kalimdor.zip

Azeroth:

http://wow-bot.com/download/Azeroth.zip

Once it’s downloaded and the archive is in the “nav” folder in your WoW-Bot folder right click on the file and again click “Extract Here”. This process may take a while as there are A LOT of files to extract!

When it’s finished extracting your “nav” folder should look roughly the same as:

navFiles.png

GETTING STARTED – INSTALLING THE DEPENDENCIES

We’re nearly done! All that’s left to do now is download the dependencies. There are a few dependencies that need to be downloaded, when downloading them make sure they are all, again, saved to the WoW-Bot folder. Download all the files at the following links:

http://wow-bot.com/download/depends.rar

Nate Robins - OpenGL - GLUT for Win32

It should also be noted that you may need the latest version of DirectX9, if you are having any errors try downloading that.

Once the dependencies are downloaded and saved in your WoW-Bot folder, right click them and again click “Extract here” on all the dependency files you just downloaded.

GETTING STARTED – UPDATING WoW-Bot

Whenever there is an update to the bot you do not have to follow all the previous steps again, just find the latest version in the “Announcements / Releases” forum and again save the file to your WoW-Bot folder or whatever folder you extracted WoW-Bot to. Once it’s downloaded, making sure it’s in the same folder as your current WoW-Bot, right click on the file you just downloaded and choose “Extract Here” and let it overwrite all existing files.

RUNNING THE BOT

Alright so now I’m going to assume you have installed WoW-Bot correctly by following the previous setting up steps. When you’re ready to start botting run WoW, login to your account and load up your character. Once this is done go to your WoW-Bot folder and run WoW-Bot.exe as administrator, you’ll need to login using your WoW-Bot username and password, trial/trial is the trial username and password and at time of writing is limited to the old continents. You should be greeted with this screen upon login:

homeBot.png

Now it would be a good idea to configure some basic options for the bot by going File > Options:

fobot.png

The following Options screen should pop up I’ll explain the three tabs:

Combat:

Options.png

All the tick boxes are self-explanatory you can choose those yourself.

Last Level Trained Should obviously be set to the last level you trained your character at, this will tell the bot what spells it knows and when it needs to train next.

Aggro Range How far from the waypoint a mob can be for the bot to attack it

Rest Health The first box is what % health you want to start eating food at, the second box is what % health you want to stop eating at.

Rest Mana Same as Rest Health but for mana obviously

Utility:

uOptions.png

Gather Range same as Aggro Range but for mining and gathering herbs

Do Not Auction I think this is items you don’t want to sell, but it could be for a future auction house feature which is apparently planned

Sell Items Items you want the bot to sell “ff9d9d9d” is the code for grey items, so it will sell all grey items, you can also add words such as leather, Meat etc.

Repair Percent The durability at which WoW-Bot will repair, in the screen above the character would repair at 35% durability

Login:

This tab is self explanatory

MAKING WAYPOINTS

In order for the bot to run smoothly you should make two or three mob waypoints, a repair waypoint and a class trainer waypoint. So to start on the main WoW-Bot screen go File->Waypoints, click “New Waypoints”

Class Trainer Waypoint:

Make sure your character is at your class trainer, set the type to Vendor and in description put <class> trainer for e.g. if I was a paladin in description I would put paladin trainer then click OK:

newWaypoint.png

Repair:

Do the same as Class Trainer – move to a repair NPC, set the Type to “Vendor” but in the description type “repair”

Mob Waypoint:

There are two ways to make a mob waypoint, the easiest way is to just go to the spot you want to grind at and press F9, this will automatically create a “Mob Camp” waypoint for your level. In the main waypoint window if you set the type to camp your “Mob Camp” you just created will appear as <level> auto e.g. 5 auto. When you press F9 on the main WoW-Bot log screen you should see:

Waypoint Made - <id>, type: 3

Created Mob Camp

The second way to create mob waypoints is the same as creating a Class Trainer or Repair waypoint. Again go to the “New Waypoint” Screen, this time set the Type to “Camp” and in the description put <level> <type> e.g. 10 humanoid or 69 beast

DELETING/SAVING WAYPOINTS

To delete a waypoint go File -> Waypoints and in the drop down box on the top left select the type of waypoint you want to delete (if it’s a mob waypoint select camp if it’s a repair or class trainer select vendor), find the waypoint you want to delete, click on it and click the “Delete Waypoint” button.

To save your Waypoints simply click “Save Waypoints” your waypoints will be saved in the “Waypoints” folder in your WoW-Bot folder. These can be uploaded to the WoW-Bot forums.

USING SOMEONE ELSES WAYPOINTS

Waypoints can be uploaded and downloaded from the WoW-Bot forum:

Profiles

To use your downloaded Waypoints, simply place it in your “Waypoints/default” folder located in your WoW-Bot folder and they will be automatically imported the next time the bot is loaded.

START THE BOT

Well if you’ve got all your waypoints sorted out, all you need to do now is go to the Main WoW-Bot window and make sure the “Mode” is set to “Hunt” and click Start:

homeBot.png

BAR SETUPS

To use items such as mounts, food or mana regen they have to be placed on particular slots on Bar #1 of your character in WoW. The setup should be as follows:

Slot 0 - Mount *NOTE* flying mounts at this point in time will not work with the nav-mesh. If you are really desperate to use it you will have to go to the config file for your character (in the settings folder) and set <use_navmesh="false"> this will turn off the nav-mesh and you will have to make waypoints manually, I'll make a guide on how to do this later.

Slot 9 - Water/Mana-regen

Slot 8 - Food/HP-regen

Slot 7 - HP Potion or "panick" skill, such as bubble etc.

Slot 6 - Poison

Slot 5 - Lure (Fishing)

CRASHES/ERRORS

If you run into any issues make sure you followed the previous steps correctly and try running the dependency tool:

Dependency Walker (depends.exe) Home Page

and see if you’re missing anything. If you’re still having problems search on the WoW-Bot forums or post a thread explaining your problem.

    • I decided to write some beautiful custom fantasy stories about the beautiful world of Lineage 2 and its oldschool territories. Fictional theme, not related to the real lore of Lineage 2. Besides, everyone has read the real ones. Whenever I have a new story I will post. So without further delay:   The Boat Blessed by Einhasad (Story written by me, proof-reading only by AI) Part 1: The Stranger and Einhasad One beautiful morning, Orcis the clan leader and Chapan, the beautiful female bishop, were sitting in Giran Harbor waiting for the boat. "I have a feeling that this will be a great day, beautiful lady," Orcis told Chapan. The boat arrived, and on top of it stood a stranger. "Ahoy, fellas!" he called out, giving them a high five. "Ahoy... stranger," replied Chapan. "What brings you to this boat?" asked the stranger. "We want to travel the world," said Chapan. "And we want to conquer it all," added Orcis. The stranger looked at them both and said, "I'm in a good mood today, so I will share something with you. Einhasad came to me yesterday and gave me wisdom—wisdom that will let you explore and allow you to conquer. Here, let me show you." The stranger stepped off the boat. Then he stepped back on. He lifted his right foot to step off again, but he didn't; he only pretended to, stepping right back onto the boat instead. He repeated the motion with his right foot again and again. Orcis and Chapan laughed, but the ferryman was furious. "Why are you pretending to disembark while staying on the boat?" shouted the ferryman. "Stop being a fool and either stay on or off! You're making me dizzy acting like a clown!" The stranger stepped off the boat. As he was escorted away from the furious ferryman, he whispered to Chapan, "You can do this dance too. It's funny—try it." As the ferryman and the stranger walked away, Orcis and Chapan started doing the foolish move. They stepped onto the boat, pretended to return to shore, only to place their foot back on the boat at the last moment. They did it many times and had great fun. As they were playing through this crazy dance routine on the boat, something magical happened: Einhasad appeared in front of them. "I see you have found wisdom," Einhasad said. "I will allow you your wisdom, but you are never to step on the boat more than 127 times. And you must never go to the man who lives forever alone on the Primeval Isle, for he can see through your dance and will not like it." Einhasad vanished, the boat departed, and our comedic duo continued their journey... Part 2: The Greatest Healer and the Castle Lord Two days later, a boat arrived at Rune Harbor. Off it stepped an orc and a healer. "You take the town, lady—find a mercenary to help you. I will go take the castle," said the orc. A couple of minutes later, the lone orc appeared at a siege-battered castle. The defenders were repairing the fortress after successfully repelling an attacking force. They saw the orc walking toward the castle with small, steady steps and laughed at him. "Who dares walk against the mightiest clan alone?" The orc continued on his path until he was close to the defenders. Bows were armed; swords were unsheathed. The defenders lunged at the orc, only to find it impossible to hit him. Their weapons could not touch his skin or armor and were instantly repelled. They chased behind the orc, who proceeded into the engraving room and began commune with the artifact, all while the defenders tried in vain to slash and blunt him. Nothing landed—not a single blow. The orc was casting as peacefully as if he were in town, completely uninterrupted. "Masters, masters!" a voice shouted. "I bring bad news from the city! There is a female healer—she came with an orc and a mercenary. They killed the guards, wiped out our force, and took over the city!" "How could that be?" said the castle masters, momentarily forgetting that an orc was actively taking their castle. "The healer, masters! The healer—she can't be killed! Our swords slip right off her armor!" Before they could respond, the engraving completed. "I am now your master, your voice, your ruler," the orc declared. "Bow before me, for I am blessed by Einhasad and I am immortal!" Part 3: The Sanctuary of Primeval Isle Three days later, a female human healer stepped off the boat onto Primeval Isle. She had fool-stepped on the boat 126 times now, taking care never to exceed 127—for as Einhasad had warned, doing so would make her mortal again. "I seek the ruler of this island, for he is to bow before me," she announced. Suddenly, an arrow flew through the dense foliage of Primeval Isle. It pierced straight through the healer's armor and crushed her to the ground. As her eyes closed in her final moments, she heard the voice of Einhasad echo the old warning given to them days ago: "Primeval Isle is sacred. The man who lives there forever has made it so—for I might not have given him wisdom, but I have given him luck." The End   The Man at Primeval Isle Word reached the newly crowned King of the Aden territory—Orcis the Orc—about the tragic end of his beloved Chapan, who had dared to set foot upon the fog-shrouded shores of Primeval Isle. A thousand bards sang in the grand halls, yet not a single melody could soothe the sovereign's profound rage and grief. Days bled into weeks. The court watched their ruler wither in inconsolable silence, until a lone traveler requested an audience at the castle gates. "My Lord," the captain of the guard announced, kneeling before the throne. "A wanderer demands entry. He claims to hold the key to the island." "The island?" Orcis grunted, his voice like grinding stone. "He speaks of a way to walk upon those cursed sands untouched by mortality... and to face the solitary warden who governs the primeval wild." "Bring him in," ordered the King. When the stranger approached the dais, Orcis instantly recognized the weathered face. It was the enigmatic figure from Giran Harbor—the nomad who had first taught them the strange ritual of steps that granted them divine immunity. The wanderer bowed low, but Orcis raised a hand. "Rise, old friend. This kingdom was forged on the strange wisdom you shared. Speak. What do you know of the island’s master?" The stranger leaned in, his eyes gleaming with secret knowledge. "The warden believes his sanctuary is absolute, my King—that the ancient currents protecting his domain cannot be broken by the dance of the harbor," the stranger whispered. "Yet in his pride, he misjudged the rhythm of the crossing. He guards against those who linger in the threshold...   ... but he never foresaw what happens when the voyage comes to its absolute end."
