My cousin has an hdd right now which is not even SATA.It's connected to the his computer. He intends to get a new drive which should be SATA II.Now he wanna format of course the system, but we have to configure the 2 drives as master and slave.

Does anybody knows something more about this issue, cause I'm kinda newbie on this.  ;D

Regards,

Blane

at the back of the HDD you have a usually 7 or 8 pin connection with a jumper on it above that theres description which poisition is master and slave

One more question:

what happens if both disks are set on master? >:D

well usually you have 2 route or more to have HDDs so its not confusing and dont cause problems if you use sata ofc
