Thats because L2J > L2OFF by far. All new players decide to go for L2J. The only ones still playing L2off are some way-off-the-peak old players. L2 isnt dying, L2OFF is ;) There are plenty of L2J servers with 500+ players online.

totally agree with this and if you search in sites like hopzone you can find off servers

and btw a nice off server is l2mxc ;)

Guys it's all about the people behind every server, if the team is decent then the server is decent. Now about l2off server its was about time for them to start dying, i mean who is going to play C4 servers dressed to look like interlude or hellbound.

Yeap that's why decades of L2OFF servers like arion have 3k+ people on....

the only thing that will kill L2 are the lol l2j servers made by kids who open servers for 2-3 weeks ++++ donate made server only.

Look at gf on wrath bugegd as shit and  "future"updates wont make it better

Even hellbound on arion is tottally inaccurate

There is not a single class that actually is retail like not even mages

Sooner or later everyone will switch to l2j except if there is a new leak

Can some1 explain me what is this L2j ?  >:(

L2off= Servers which are based on files which were "stolen" from ncsoft

All servers which are l2off atm are based on original real c4 files but got modified by ppl so they have new features of new chronicles

 

 

L2j= L2j is a Java based l2 server emulator which was build up from scratch

The project is  going on for a longtime and there are many fork projects of it

Basically l2j servers are used  mostly for  high rate pvp servers and are mostly customized ( part of why l2j servers havea bad reputation)

Mostly l2j was more inaccurate then l2off servers till now and it had a bad reputation for being unrealistic but imo nowadays l2off and l2j servers dont differ that much anymore because both aint close to retail :) But at least l2j has working features -> fortress sieges etc

is not about l2j just l2 is getting old and every game die like that way.

 

totaly agree, most of l2j servers are now x50000 which die in 1-2 weeks (most are on pre-packs and dev's don't know how to improve it, they just they read web tutorial about making l2j sever and dream about big money from donations).

      AdvExt64 are the only one real L2OFF Developpers still alive. Athena Project is L2J. L2Reborn is Java for their Interlude Seasonal & Essence servers, the rest are fully L2OFF. If you want a pro L2OFF implementation of Protocol 110, your only option is AdvExt64 and be ready to get out your cash, you have to order them a special creation, it will not be cheap at all. If you want a more okish implementation, you can use the one shared here on MXC.
