Ok use fileedit  to open and decrypt the l2.ini.

 

Then find  this :

 

[CharacterDisplay]
Name=true
Dist=1000

 

and change dist to whatever you like, i think the max can be 65535(the same as zoom out).

 

Now you can view the names of mobs and players from a much further distance.... very usefull in pvp.

UseWindowFrame=False if you want windowed mode without frame. good if you play with desktop resolution -> faster alttab etc

when you say use "fileedit" to open l2.ini, where can i get the fileedit thing, cuz i tried the decrypters going around the forum and they dont work =(

 

same here.. i used some of these files and no result.. prolly they are for older versions of the game :/

Yeah, nice share. I had it last time when i was playing a c4 server. I used l2 utilities - with zoom, and ghost camera (you could fly with your camera by wals).

I think that distance is defined by server.

work only in pvp server you cant open L2.ini of retail server :(

You open it and you dont see any words :/
