It isn't such a big thing.

There is one thing to consider though. Which is "when" do you count the ppl that are inside the zone ? Each time a player clicks the gatekeeper, or do you schedule a task to do so every 20-30 secs ?

 

Accuracy vs performance .

Create a new zone called "xZone" and set zone on player on enter, after get statics. You can do it without schedule just check in 'onAction'
