Well tested and I got an error so hum here we go.

I Open my system , open my weapongrp.dat , I see the data decoded , I add my row in , I save , I chose how to enc and I got :

"can not find the file c:/doc&setting/.../temp/new-weapongrp.dat"

and in program I got

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

File C:\DOCUME~1\Djem\LOCALS~1\Temp\RarSFX0\temp\new-weapongrp.dat created...  <= so it might be created

Save new-weapongrp.dat to D:\Documents\Lineage 2 server dev\dat editing\weapongrp.dat... 

 

and when i go check myself I got nothing !

When you add wrong lines and edit it the wrong way, then this happens...

Quick guess: If you added them at the end of file you didn't left a blank row.

Well , finaly I done it , It's just because I took this files from a random addon pack , but who made the pack forget to fill in 8 column , so just what I had to do is to add 8 "space" to fill the 8 column and it ran.

Ps : Lineage 2 Suite software realy tox ( yeah it's in spanish i hate it too ) but it make easyer to modification of the .dat files.
