[guide] small tip for itemname-e

Most of you know this but there is no guide about structure of itemname-e and its really usefull for newbie :

 

So itemsname-e is based on 3 parts

 

etcitems - all kind of scrolls, hair accessorys etc.

armors - nothink to explain

weapons - nothink to explain

 

i saw many times newbies that puts every think in the end of file, and when they try to log in to the game there is noitemname in stade of name item or client crash.

Then we can see on forum ppl asking "i add this mod but got crash what is wrong??"

 

so now you know the "secret" its huge mistake to put all in the end of file

 

always use structure like its in system folder splited : etcitems, armors, weapons.

i have made this tip for biginers - noone will explain them basic and not every one will se this small difrents so dont say me its nothink its basics.  Dont take it to hard but evaluate all one by the same measure is ignorance.

We all know there is thousands of newbie server in net  maybe you dont cear but i will help cose i can.

I am an old dev on client mod and yeah this problem is so damn annoying! and I cant figure out why this damn thing happens all the time, nonameitem. Thanks for your excelent guide sir! Best guide ever!

yeah why not is the perfect guide man cool job really a lot ppl beging in it sometimes get this error and me too eh eh but well thansk for ur mini guide ^^

BUT !

 

There is one more thing - if You add armor into armor part at itemname-e.dat and as well weapon at weapon part You should put armor code into armorgrp.dat lower number after highier number. Why ? Cus without it Your guide is for nothing - when You put code into armogrp.dat at the end of file and number are lower that the last one at itemname-e.dat code should be at the end too :]

I hope You know it too ^^

I always add armor and weapons with lower number before highier numbers in armorgrp.dat and weapongrp.dat to make them look like this:

Then You can put code at itemname-e.dat at armor and weapon part. If You will not make it (at armor and weapon grp.dat) at itemname-e.dat code from Your custom item will need to add at the end of itemanme-e.dat file even if it is armor or etcitems ^^

The conclusion is: KEEP YOUR ARMORGRP.DAT, WEAPONGRP.DAT AND ITEMNAM-E.DAT CLEAN ! Without that any guide will not help You :] Its the best way to dont get "NoItemName" in game ^^

paradocs is right  about this..and it's good posting it, well most just put the customs in itemname-e, and they forget(or don't know) that you have to put them on armorgrp (an example) to make it work properly..
