[Ubuntu advices/recommendations]

Well, not so long ago a friend told me that he was using the last Ubuntu version (9.04) and he told me it was great.

 

Since i have never tried Linux, i want to hear opinions about this OS.

Look ubuntu are very powerfull with very good protection . they most used for Dedi servers. they dont used for gamers u cant burn your ass to much there ... they arent designed to be gaming OS.

You should use Opensuse, instead of Ubuntu linux.

I got some personal experience, cause I have 2 OS enviroments in my PC, one XP & one Linux Opensuse (which used to be ubuntu).

I gotta say that opensuse is better in many ways, not for gaming tho, you should highlight that. Linux in general can offer you faster loadings, smooth and quick boot ups and no blue screens of death ofc. :D

Yeah, its pretty complicated, I know that.

There are plenty of guides in the internet about learning how to use this OS, so its ok.

I use it for some time w/o problems.
