I'm not sure but have you tried to convert it with a video conventer.

Hi MaxCheaters ! i am here to ask something ... well i learned  from morian how to make a demo but the problem is that i cant watch it (i can only in cs)and if i record  it with fraps i will have a huge file(i want to make a vid to upload at youtube so it must be small).I wondered ifsomeone knew how to make a small video (hltv demo) because fraps makes 6gb things in 5 minutes ...... thx ;D

:O You need me here? xD

First of all NEVER use that freaking program called "Fraps"..NEVER..

Record your demo while you play.Then go to your Options and then to your Video Options and make these settings:

Resolution: 1280 x 720

Run in a Window

Display Mode: Widescreen

When you do these, then press OK..

Open your console and type "playdemo <demo name>" without "" <>

Then, open your console again and type "demoui"

It will pop up a menu..From where you can control your movie and your Ticks...

When you are at the moment you want to record, pause the demo and open your console.

Type: startmovie <name of the movie> (without <>) avi

Example: startmovie mymovie avi

It will pop up a small window..Just press OK..

Then your CS will start recording the demo..

When you are done, type in console again: endmovie

Then go to your CS file and you will find an avi file with the name of your movie..Then you must download Virtualdub (Google it) and follow these images:

tgafiles.jpg

Drag the files into Virtualdub!

Click on video and choose Full Processing Mode!

http://infprod.com/tutorials/mmg/pics/vdubuncompressed.jpg

Click on compression and choose Uncompressed!

Last thing to do is click on file and then save as avi!

Then, to edit it you must use Sony Vegas..

Drag the movie to Sony Vegas and follow the steps:

Start up Vegas and the click on File -> Properties

vegasproperties.jpg

You have to change the Width & Height to your resolution but the rest is good to go. You might aswell change the pre-render files directory to your biggest harddrive so you don’t have troubles during rendering.

Now you can drag in music and video clips and edit them. I will not get into Vegas in detail because you can find tutorials about it on www.infprod.com.

Now lets get to the rendering. I recommend rendering little clips before the full render to see if the quality and size is good.

You can do that by double clicking into a little clip. You will see 2 little yellow triangles at the top. By dragging the triangles around you can choose what part to render.

width=1009 height=768http://infprod.com/tutorials/mmg/pics/vegastriangles.jpg[/img]

Now click on File -> Render As …

width=1010 height=768http://infprod.com/tutorials/mmg/pics/vegasrenderas.jpg[/img]

You are done..!!

Hope I helped you, it isn't anything difficult..

PS. If you are interested, gimme your demos to make you one clip ^^
