Try ,right click om file edit and then run as admistaitor.(because you have vista)

i have the same problem. delete the new add and save again... with not new item, if itemname-e save you are ok but the fles is not for this version...

check the number of colums that u have enter.. i prefer you copy a weapon and change textuires one by one... that the most safe way to do...
