lol...hosts can't have a hostname rediredected to another hostname

only a hostname to an IP

Use a patch, it's illegal so what? NCSoft will chase you?

you'll have to change that every time you restart your router...

Guys i want to make a host file for my server because i dont want to use patch(illegal) can anyone help me??

my ip-->l2destiny.dyndns.org

and local->192.168.1.100

use your WAN IP(whatimsyip.org) in your externalhostname in configs(ls , gs) , NOTE !! : your IP must be static if u want players to use your IP and not to change it every time u restart your router !

ok but why is this host file like this and its working????

127.0.0.1 localhost
l2destiny.no-ip.biz  L2authd.Lineage2.com
209.34.168.66 nProtect.lineage2.com

this wont work

in my ls and gs i use this ip l2destiny.dyndns.org.(so if i wanna use host file i have to have static ip??)

the file i showed it worked .a server had that one.

if u want players to use your WAN IP , u have to put it in your ls,gs configs and it also has to be static ,if not it will change everytime your router restarts

because every time your router restarts your IP changes...this means that if someone wants to play to your server, he'll have to edit his hosts file again and again and again and again.....

OMFG, so much attention for something small. USE L2.INI!
