Imported Textures Getting Quality Loss

Recommended Posts

Hey Sup,

I created some textures and saved them into some custom .utx file inside systextures folder.

But it happens these seems blury at "low" quality settings (texture l2 setting) and the ones not modified such as "Logos or Icons" do not get blurry at all if you set texture settings to low.

Does anyone knows how if its possible to fix this? I mean use them at high quality as the retail Logos even if you change texture settings to low?

Example: Here you can see my custom logo with low textures on and official's logo (both saved as TGA, Alpha rendering True):

Photoshop saving as: 32bit/pixel, Compress (RLE) not selected.

UE Import: Generate MipMaps selected and Compression to None (Format RGBA8)

Still same issue

Formation already had to none (Compression mode: None)

Unselecting MipMaps solved the problem :P

Thanks SweeTs, btw what do MipMaps in term of quality do you know?

Ah bilinear filtering.

Loved "MipMaps should never be created for any texture that is going to be used for anything Interface-related. Player Portrait images and weapon HUD icons are two examples of this."

Thanks once again SweeTs, appreciated!
