Discussion Question About Dedicated Server

Hello guys im thinking to open a server with a friend of mine
but we dont have a clue about dedicated servers :(

so do you guys have any good/average & cheap dedicated  server to recommend ? any reseller or anything ??

a dedicated which can hold up to 800 players (i know it sound to much but we want to be safe)

i was going for this VPS II but some1 told me that vps is no good for l2 servers here look by yourself :

Use vds not vps. Dedi's are a bit more expensive plus they have an installation cost. (Mostly for the OS.)

Java servers (from machine side) can easily hold up to 1k with some average staff (such as 4-8gb ram ddr3 , a 2-4 core cpu, etc.) - including geodata.

But, having 1k online easily (or safely) it's not only a "machine" side thing. Your pack must be well developed to hold up that amount of players.
