[Guide] How To Create Your Wrath of the Lich King Beta SeRvEr!

I hear from many people that they are waiting the new expansion of World Of Warcraft  (Wrath Of Lich King) =]

 

Because i'm Good Boy (xDDD) i will make you a little present :P

 

I Will learn you how you can make your own Wrath Of Lich king Private Server (Beta)

 

Ok Here We Go:

 

The First Thing We Must Have Is World Of Warcraft Wrath Of Lich King

 

Q: WTF ?!? Are You idiot where on earth i can find it ??

A: Haha =] Blizzard Gave to public beta version .. so you can download it from the official site of wow

 

Q: OmG But need an account of official what i'm gonna do ??

Ok Now the second thing we have to do is to have a REPACK

 

Q: What is this ? And where i can find one For Wrath Of Lich King ??

A: Repack is something like PACK of lineage II. I Strongly Reccomend mine because is for Wrath Of Lich King

Ok Let's Start :P

 

We Will Need Some Programms Like:

 

Navicat / HeidiSQL (for importing the .SQL files into the server database)

MySQL any version (to get Navicat / HeidiSQL working)

 

And Also The MOST Important Thing:

 

Knowledge about private servers.

 

So We Start Seeting Up Our Server:

 

• Download the repack and extract it in a New Folder (you can rename it if you want)
  

• Inside the webm0nst3rs_WotLK_Repack you will find a folder named "DBC & Map Extractor" double click on it and copy / paste the ad.exe in the Wrath of the Lich King Beta folder.
  

• Start ad.exe (double click) and a box will show up , it will automatically create a folder named "DBC" and "Maps".  
   
  

• After the box disappears (means that it's done) , take the two folders name DON'T! "DBC" & "Maps" and put the back tou "DBC & Map Extractor" Folder
   
  

 

Step Two (Installing the DB)

 

• Install MySQL and when the install finish double click on the icon in order to open (MySQL)
   
  

• If you have Navicat you will have to create a new Connection  (local host) and the add new Databases, new Databases should be named like this :
  "Characters" , "Realmd" , "mangos" and "scriptdev2".
   
  

 

 

• When you finish go to (webm0nst3rs_WotLK_Repack ==> Database) And  "Execute Batch File" all of them to the databases
   
  

• Execute each database with the matching one , "Realmd" with Realmd.sql , "mangos" with mangos.sql "Characters" with Characters.sql and "scriptdev2" with scriptdev2.sql

The Most Important STEP!

 

• Open mangosd.conf file (with Notepad / Wordpad) and edit (in my case) "ascent" written with red , with your MySQL password.
   
  

 

 

LoginDatabaseInfo     = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;ascent;realmd"

WorldDatabaseInfo     = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;ascent;mangos"

CharacterDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;ascent;characters"

 

• Do the same thing with the Realmd.conf
   
  

 

LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;ascent;realmd"

 

 

• Now Go To (C:\Program Files\Wrath of the Lich King Beta\realmlist) And Open It With Notepad Delete Everything is written in there And Write This
   
  

 

 

set realmlist 127.0.0.1

• Delete your cache.
   
  

• First Open MySQK tge open Realmd and Last open magnosd
   
  

• In the mangosd console you will have to write "setbc administrator 1" that means it will enable TBC on the administrator account.
   
  

• Open Wrath of the Lich King Beta
   
  

• Login with Username / Password : administrator / administrator
   
  

• You World Of Warcraft Wrath Of Lich King Private Server Is Now ON!
   
  

 

WARNING!!! Old GM Commands Are not Working You Will Have To Know The New GM Commands

 

Q: WtF ? Where I Can Find Them

A: OMG Search in World Of Wacraft Section

when u were installing mysql u should configure it 2 and one thing of the configuration was setting a new password for your mysql server now try to remember what u set

other possible passwords:

- root

- localhost

- ascent

i have one problem.... i open realmd and all ok and i open mangosd and i have this error:

Check existing of map file './maps/0004331.map': not exist!

Correct *.map/*.vmap/*.vmdir files in appropriate directories or correct the DataDir value in the mangosd.conf file

THATS WHY U GET THAT ERROR!

 

another problem i had and solved it, was that i got wrong version of wow....

i just had to update it ONCE. just download the 65.7mb patch!
