Well... you all probably know this game...

so lets start...

i want to make the most complete guide to help noobs to play lineage2 :)

Well lets start...

Lineage2 is a game based on pvping.(Player vs Player)

The character that has the best buffs (Skills that other characters or your self can do that empower you giving you some extra stats) and items.

On most of the low rate servers the one that has the best buffs and items are the best

but on pvp mostly all are based on enchanting so its risk taking and luck.

On most of private servers are alot of bugs and tricks and characters have different stats from retail so you must chose wisely what character you will make.

 

****STARTING*****

When you login you will see a server or some servers list.You can chose can create a character there or choose an existing character from there.

 

You have some options there...

You can see if you have a character and you can chose one if you have otherwise you can go on the Create buton and create a character.

You can edit your characters Gender,Hair Style,Hair Color and Face .\

You can also put a name that hasnt got spaces and !@#$%^&*()_+{}|:">?<.

 

After you create a character or play with an existing character you can chose him and enter in the fantastic world of pvping called lineage2.

 

****INGAME INFO****

When you are in the game you have a bar thats has a Sword Icon of F1 a siting  icon on F11 and a Hand Icon on F4(or F5)

this are some basic actions you must do.

 

F11 Siting makes you get your health faster and mana if you dont have potions.

 

F4 Picking up items with F4 is impotrant but you can also click on the item you want to obtain it if you see it on the ground.

 

F1 Basic if you are an archer or click it and target a monster to attack it.

 

 

In the upper Left side you can see a box with 1 Dark Yellow Bar a Red Bar a Blue Bar and a White-Grey Bar.

Each bars shows your Healing Points,Mana Points,Cp and experience points.

In the top left side you can see another small mox in that box that has a number.

That number is for showing you your level.

Each time your experience points go on 100% and that Gery Bar Gets filled fully white-grey you will earn a level.

Leveling is very useful because gives you extra stats and allowing you to earn skills in some levels.

The red bar your Healing Points.When your healing points go to zero you will die and an icon will appear and say to you to go the nearest village.

But some characters have some skills to revive you or with a special scroll Called Scroll of Resurection but for short version they call it *rez*.

The blue bar is showing your mana points.If the mana goes to zero or bellow the number of the mana that a skill requires it will make you unable to do skills.

Mana is useful mostly for mages and characters like Dagger Types.

The Dark Yellow Bar shows you your CP.

CP is like a pre-hp that when another characters attack you he must first make your CP  0 in order to start losing you HP. *NOTE* Some skills hit directly to HP.

 

Well... now when you target the monster (MOB) and attack it it will give you some expirience also called exp and a certain amount of adenas.

Adenas are the game Gold... more adenas you have more items you can get... but mostly other characters like to trade for other items instead for adenas.

 

When the monster haves a Red name it means that is many levels above you.If its name is yellow it means that it will be hard to kill it and if its white its good for you to kill it.

If it has a Green name it means it is some lvls below you... if it is light blue it means that its many levels below you and wont drop adena ... probably...

if its Dark Blue its way too low for you to drop adenas or exp.

Mobs that are higher level give a Bonus exp to you.

Mobs that are lower level give a less amount of exp and adenas.

So stick up with the Red,Yellow and White named monsters :D

 

When you earn some levels you can go learn some skills and upgrade your items.

Skills usually are obtained at level 5 for fighters and for mages at level 7.

After that fighters can learn higher level skills at level 10,15 and 20.

Mages can learn at 14 and 20.

 

There are several grades of armors and weapons and jewls.

When you go on the weapon,armor,jewl to see its info it will say on its name if it is No-Grade D-Grade C-Grade etc...

Each Grade can be put in its level.

At 1 to 20 you can wear No-Grade.

At 20 to 40 you Can wear D-Grade.

At 40 to 52 you Can wear C-Grade.

At 52 to 61 you Can wear B-Grade.

At 61 to 76 you Can wear A-Grade.

At 76 to 80 you Can wear S-Grade.

At 80 to 85 you can wear S80-Grade.

Shops trade armors and weapons and jewls from No-Grade till D grade with adenas.

After that you will have to trade with crystals in order to obtain C grade equipment and as for B-A-S-S80 equipment you must craft or buy with adenas or trade with other

chars that have the item you need.There are also chaces like 0.0001% that the item you want it will drop from several mobs.

 

 

****FARMING INFO****

When you go outside you can go search from monsters for your level your level to exp.

If you want to kill the monsters easy you must take the right buffs and the right consumables and equipment.

Soul Shots and Spirtshots are very helpful.

They add an extra damage and if you want to win you must buy them.

each soulshot / spiritshot has a grade.Its grade shows you in which grade weapon you can use it.For example you cant use a C grade Soulshot/SpiritShot for a S-Grade weapon!

Each soulshot / spiritshot must be the same with the grade of the weapon.

As for now you must buy the correct armor.

All Mystics characters must buy robes.

All light fighter charachters should buy light armors.

And heavy fighters can buy Heavy Armors.

Remember to take some usefull consumables like Rez,Scroll,SoulShot,HP Potions,Mana Potions and some Spirit Ores (500)

 

Weapons are for giving you strenght in order to make you able to fight.

Armors and shields are giving u deffence in order you to have some protection from melee attack.

Jewls are items that provide u resistances and deffence from mystics.

All three of them are required in order to have a better farming.

 

After you get all these you can go fight.

You can attack monsters with skills or with simple strikes.

In order to do skills you must press alt-k to see your skills and put them in to the Bar that is in the Right Side of the screen.Press ctrl-L to initialize the game.(If its needed)

You can add the skill you want in the bars but you must see what skills do and with what weapons they can be used!

But dont get confused!!! Icons sometimes make u think that some skills are able to do with the weapon you have but it might need a differnet weapon

so read carefully the skills information.

So you can modify as you like that bar.

You can also put the soulshot/spiritshots there and activate them by pressing right click on them at the bar.

You can put potions and actions and even macros on that bar.

In order to do the actions in that bar you must activate F Lock and see what number is the F Button you have put your skill in order to do the skill,potion,action you like.

You can attack creatures now and if you are right buffed and good geared you will be fine and level fast :)

 

After you do all that you can go to your village when you get tired or bored and learn some skills or buy stuff...

there are gatekeepers that helps you go where you want easier but with an amount of money of course.

When you go on level 20 you can do your first class change.

When you go on level 40 you can do your second class change.

When you go on level 76 you can do your third class change.

 

You can change in the class you want by certain quests or by a Special NPC class changer if the server you play has one.

 

Also remember that there are some items that give you special stats.

Thos items are Called Dyes.

Men = Magic Deffence and Mana.

Int = Magic Aattack Power

Wit = Casting Speed

Con = Deffence HP and CP

Dex = Attack speed Critical Ratio and speed

BUT BUY THE DYES YOU WANT WISLEY!!!

YOU CAN FIND DYES ALL OF THEM AT GODDARD CONSUMABLES SHOP.

 

Well.. you can keep up like that in the game till you go 85 but till them im sure that you will learn more.

 

****PVPING/PKING****

 

Well in lineage2 there is PvP and PK.

PvP is Player Vs Player.

Pk is a -beep-ing moron killing someone for no reason to make himself feel important in this existance.

 

Well... pvp is when 2 characters are bother purple named and attacking each other.

When they attack each other and they both have purple name the winner will get a pvpscore.

PvP   score and your stats can be seen by pressing alt-t.

When someone has a purple name is called Flaged.

If a person has a white name and get attacked and dies the person that kills him he will get a red name

and he will get an amount of karma.When you have karma you are not allowed to use shops,gatekeepers

and guards will attack you if you near them.This is named pking and the character is called a Chaos Character.

You can remove your karma by killing monsters.

 

If you want to pvp you can press control and the the attack action or ctrl and click on him and he will attack.

Or if he is already flaged you can attack him with no ctrl.

A chaotic character can be killed with the character that kills him earning a pvp score and the chaotic character will lose some of his karma when he die

and probably some ITEMS.

So avoid taking pks.

If you are a mystic and you cant attack him just do heal on him and then ctrl and attack him :)
