19th of February is an expiration date of a Schengen visa for three our players: Alex Ich, Darien and Diamond, therefore they cannot participate at LCS EU Spring Week 6 that happens in Cologne from 20th to 21st of February.

According to the LCS rules, teams aren't allowed to miss their games, therefore in order to participate in the two upcoming games we are forced to use three substitute players. At the moment we haven't decided whom are we going to recruit, but we will announce their names as soon as we make our choice. We would like to ask our fans and viewers to be respectful to our hurdle and to support us in the given circumstance. Alex Ich, Darien and Diamond will resume their participation in the league at LCS EU Spring Week 7.

Clarification regarding our problem

We are the only professional League of Legends team, whose entire roster not only has to spend a lot of time travelling back and forth on a weekly basis, but also to deal with visa related questions. We were aware of this date approaching beforehand, but were not able to receive new visas. In order to receive them one requires five business days, whereas over the past month and a half we had two business days per week at most, since games this split are played on Thursdays and Fridays, and we are departing to Cologne from Russia on Wednesdays. Last year we were able to receive visas freely, since games were played over the weekend. We started acquiring visas already in November prior to IEM Cologne. Edward and Genja got visas for a year, whereas Alex Ich, Diamond and Darien for three months. The duration of visas depends on the employees of an embassy, whose decision we cannot influence.

After our trip to China to Tencent Gaming Carnival, our players didn't have enough space in their passports required to get new Schengen visas according to the legislation. We applied for new foreign passports immediately, but this process lasts for one-two months, therefore we managed to get them only during the split.

Gambit Gaming's roster at LCS Spring Week 6

First of all, we would like to confirm that Gambit Gaming at LCS EU Week 6 are going to be represented by  the roster that was previously leaked. Since this information became available prior to our official announcement, in the given article we will emphasize the process of selecting our substitute players.

Dania.gif Morten "Zorozero" Rosenquist - Top

Shvecia.gifohan "Hulberto" Johansson - Jungle

Norvegia.gifNorway Erlend "Nukeduck" Våtevik Holm - Mid

Germania.gifGermany Jakob "fury III" Burke - AD Carry

Rossia.gifRussia Edward "Edward" Abgaryan - Support

As you might have already noticed, we are using four substitute players, even though only three of our core players aren't able to attend the competition this week. As soon as it became clear that we are going to recruit at least three foreign players, we decided that Evgeny "Genja" Andryushin is going to miss this stage as well, since his level of English doesn't allow him to play in the international roster, therefore this week our roster will consist of only one Gambit's core player. Since Edward is the only one representing our core roster, he was in charge of picking four substitutes.

When our roster was revealed, quite a few of you were surprised why we didn't recruit Aleš "Freeze" Kněžínek. The thing is, you cannot recruit more than two players from the same team, whereas we initially decided to pick up Zorozero and Nukeduck, since in our view it is mandatory to get a hold of the strongest players available for Top and Mid. Doubtlessly, these two players are the most experienced and skilled representatives of the European amature scene - not only did they had a successful run at LCS EU Summer'13, but they also were playing in the group stage of the Season Three World Championship. As for the jungler Hulberto, NiP's players suggested that we pick him up.

This week our AD Carry is a player from Germany, Jakob "fury III" Burke. The reason he got picked up is quite simple - Edward used to play with him in Duo Queue, therefore both of them have a solid understanding of what should they expect from each other, while playing in the bot lane.

We solidified our roster this Monday, therefore they began practicing on Tuesday, On Wednesday they departed to Cologne, whereas the final preparations are going to take place today and tomorrow, and their primary goal is to figure out what to do against the specific opponents. We would like to remind that today at 20:00 CET we are playing against Roccat and tomorrow at the same time against SUPA HOT CREW. Even though this quintet is in a tough spot, they are determined to win - the two final training sessions are scheduled to last for seven hours each.

Despite us coming up with this particular roster already in the beginning of this week, we weren't able to announce it until all of the formalities were sorted out with the representatives of Riot Games. The official procedure of recruiting players for the official games encompasses an extensive paperwork for every single substitute player, whom we have four in total. Moreover, the communication is a long-drawn process due to the fact that we are handling these issues with the representatives of the office located in Los Angeles.

    • Hello there, Im beyond confused and dont know what path to take. I want to start working on a L2 server, changing some stuff here and there and finally in the future if  im happy with the results, to launch the server, but... L2j or L2off? After all this years, is there a Interlude L2j close to off?   Ive spent some time lookin over this forum, searching what would be better and what files to take but I ain't near to a clear answer.  Most of the time everyone is trowing stones at everyone, "your filles are trash, my filles are good" and viceversa. Therefore, Im reaching out to a knowledge guy, hopefully from a neutral position to all this drama, that can pin point me in a direction.    To explain what I want for a base start is an Interlude with a classic interface (features), low rate. Mostly what this guy TravorJ is describing in his post TravorJ post , and to do some reworks on it, ex: mobs drop, rethink the augment system/interface, rethink learning skills/enchant skills, create some custom potions/buff effects, siege mechanics... Is that possible on off files? or is better to go with L2j? I also want to mention that I have little to none L2 dev experince (13-15yrs ago I had an L2j server running  for a month where I made some basics changes), but I have coding background so Im used to that and more than willing to learn.   So in conclusion, I dont want to get some free shared files without any support, that I need to wrap my head around and fix stuff for long time to make them work, stuff thats already fixed buy someone else. Instead im looking to buy something thats more updated and start working from there. Question is what and from whom? Kinda sux when you go and buy something and u dont know what the hell are you buying (need some guidance here)   Is L2j Orion a good choice? I saw that is regularly updated. Lucera2 I dont think is something that I want cuz they dont sell soruce, prefer to have control and not to be dependent on someone to much...   Big thanks in advance!

    • Hi, for l2jfrozen...   I want Bless Enchat to have a limit.   Example: 7+ to +15 with Bless Enchat.   That for +16, it doesn't allow use.
