Hello, I want to announce the new Interlude L2OFF plataform server with Old retail gameplay style.
The better thing that I can see about is that is an Absolutlly Donations Free server, because we only want to rescue the old essence (call me mellancolic) of C5-IL times, yeah no instances or farm to the dead times, the "military" feelling about being an orde of archers, or buffers farming Olimpiads with clan items...that beautifull old times.. and the fact that is donation free talk by himself.

We are going live on February 15th. (since is a plataform tested by years with Advext64 guarantie there is no reason to test basic things, only rates, so there will not be any Open Beta, currentlly we are under Closed testing and getting ready!)

Low Level RaidBosses Drop a general currency that can be traded by recipes B-A

This is a custom feature I'm not particularly fond of. Imo if you want to make getting geared easier, you can increase spoil rate (x5 is low for a mid rate server) and add C armor sets on Luxury shop. Makes no sense to spoil karmian glove keys on a mid rate...

Newbie buffers? Coz it makes no sense to add npcs if the buff duration will be retail. Anyway, lets see how it goes..

About newbie buffs, will be adventurer buffs, same extended duration, they are very basic buffs just to make solo exp affordable in certain places, something like empower 2, acumen 2, migth 3, focus 2, etc.. ()I will post the list as soon as possible).

 

Spoil can be x5 chance, but, there is x5 amount for mats, if you played on servers like for example nanaki, you know that  is not hard to gear until A grade, quest items are x5 also so recipes are not a problem at all.

 

About Low Lvl raid, they will drop a general currency tradeable, but it doesnt mean, 1 item 1 recioe, more like 1 raid dropping 10. and 60 needed for a low A grade boots or gloves recipe. it is just another way to  give use to all that forgotten Rbs that are only usefull at retail x1.

About that currency, it will make low level rbs more valuable than the 60-70 level ones. Its going to be a lot harder to try and drop full items (drop rate is x5) than it is to buy a couple of recipes with that special currency.

But the recipes are 60%, and not so many ppl kill raidbosses to get A gear, they just make quests, even with the recipes you still need the mats and the key items, crystals and gemstones you know, that balance the two ways.

 

About buffs, ofc there will not be high grade ones, not empo3, haste2 focus3 etc...basics.

Today Bump, next week we will open the server as BETA, we want that ppl check our features and overall stability, we want to ppl to know that a serious project with a team working for it.

You have to give us a list, I doubt we have the same quests in mind. Is it just the mat rewarding quests, or are all end-game ones included as well? You see, I'm expecting It+Fog quests to be boosted, but I'm not so sure if 5x manes/molars drop amount is such a good idea.

Not to be rude or anything, but I've heard this before! The question is, are you willing to keep the server running for a whole year even if there are very few people on? I wouldn't blame you if the answer is no.. That being said, I think you should start advertising this project on every forum/site you know. Retail like servers aren't very popular these days...hopefully, the boosted xp rate will attract people who love the old essence but just don't have the time/will to no-life on low rates. I will make a detailed list, and no, ofc arent all the quest, just like Imperial Tomb, FOG quest, third class change,Hot springs, Legacy of Insolence, Reagents for noblesse, etc..They are multiplied at hand one by one from AI, not a General x5 multiplier to every quest and go.

 

About the life of the server, well, im being honest,im not trying to sell this project because we are not getting any cent with it,its difficult to belive but machine is rented for a whole year, we like the game, so there isnt any reason because server cant to be online for a long time ( I was even expecting, if server last long enought and gameplay turns boring, even to update to new chornicles  on future).

Open BETA will be online February,4 Tuesday.

 

Rates for quest and drop, spoil etc, will be the official ones, exp and adena will be boosted x100, and Test Server Helper will be there for you.

 well, im being honest,im not trying to sell this project because we are not getting any cent with it,its difficult to belive but machine is rented for a whole year...

I believe you but, will you keep it running for a full year, no matter what?  I don't wanna end up playing on another mid pvp style project...or a Gracia chronicle.

I can promise that it gonna be running for a full gear,thats one of the reasons because we choise a retail style with no donations, because we want a long term server, build up a comunity and make it grow up,

Today every IL server is like x30 level up fast, buffers everywhere, make some pvp, fight versus donators with epic jewels, and then, server die or just close because admins did enought money, l2 servers become a buisness, and its not bad at all, but is not what we are looking for.

We have our personal work, we did or money from another place, aegisnetwork was created because we like the game, Im talking maybe so much honestly, maybe some ppl dont like it.

I will argue here, I am one of these admins which create those "x30 servers up fast etc" but I do not make it for money, I want to bring back the oldschool moments from L2Extreme, L2Forever which are epic servers, those servers was actually made for money, but they had success and was well made. So to have a server alive depends of the admins, not about the features, am I right? I guess I am, and I am not the only one which thinks like this.

On the contrary, I appreciate your honesty...I really do! Its exactly because there are so many pre-configured, c/p projects around that wipe every month, I'm beig so skeptical!

Honestly, I have nothing against mid pvp servers. But its exactly like you said, full buffers, mana potions and crazy farm rates. On day one, everyone is level 80...no economy, no balance, just a quick pvp run.

Ofc, I understand your point,maybe you didnt understand mine, there is a difference between create a good server and take some money from donations to keep it alive (pay mahine, webhosting,adversite,etc) and, create a fast server, get all the money possible from donations and close it the next month, the good servers are the one that you can remember, you spend some time there, and every month there is another competition.

Well, this is what admins say "we're not doing it for the money...we have a minimum donation to pay for the server" etc. Guys its ok, be honest. Of course you want something in return for your hard work, there's nothing wrong with that.  Just don't make it a business, that's all we (the players) ask for! On topic, I think its great you guys have it covered for a full year. I have been looking for months for a decent retail Interlude server. I really want to see your project succeed! But you really need to start advertising your project...like right now! You aslo need a website, not just a community forum.
