N1nj4Styl3 Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Hello fellas, Today im going to show you how to create your own web browser with virtual basic. So.. let's get started. 1)Download visual basic 2008(best version) (its free) 2)After downloading it, install it. 3)When you open it, you will be here: 4)Erase the WindowsApplication1 and write: My web browser 5)Select "Windows Forms Application" (The first one) image: http://i.imgur.com/xeXxYiU.png[/img] 6)Then you will see a blank form 7)Expand the blank form(at least full screen would be OK) 8)Open toolbox(if u can see it take your mouse at the left and it will be appeared) 9)Double click webbrowser(its inside the toolbox) 10)You will see webbrowser expanded in the form1, simply press on it and then at the properties: http://i.imgur.com/cuSp7rM.png[/img] and scroll down a bit.. and you will see an option called "Dock" press on it and a small window will show up.. press on the "none".. then you will see that you are able to move/resize your webbrowser.. drag it a bit down so we can have a place to put our buttons. 11)Now, go at toolbox, and pick x6 buttons and x2 textboxes it should be something like this: http://i.imgur.com/AIZC0bC.png So, that's it ! you just created your own browser! WELL DONE! Something extra: Q: I want to change this stupid icon with the 3 colors.. how can I do that. A: Simply. Choose an image which u want to replace it with.. i.e: I will use maxcheaters icon: . Save the image in your desktop, go to this site: http://www.prodraw.net/ , select the image and then press image upload. It will ask you what size u want to make it, make it 32x32 size. Now, save it in your desktop again. Open virtual basic, in the right corner you will see a file called: "My project" press on it, and you will see an option saying: Icon: (default icon) press on (default icon) and then Browse..., obviously you choose your converted image(32x32).. Now, go back to "My web browser.vb[DESIGN]" and press on "form1", go to properties, you will see there an option called "Icon" press on the 3 dots [...] and select again the same image which u want(32x32 image). Q: I want to change the name of the window from form1 to My web browser.. How can I do that? A: Press on the "form1" window, go to properties.. scroll down a bit and you will see an option called: "Text" press in it, and choose your own title. Now, with a little imagination you can make your browser like this: http://i.imgur.com/nruKdSr.png[/img] All the credits goes to me. Thanks! Quote

Feelmyspells Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 (edited) Not the best tutorial I've read over the years but still it seems that you spent sometime and wrote it by your own so gj. However this tutorial is very basic. You could spend like twenty or more minutes of your time and show everyone how to create a tiny macro for example, would look way more impressive than this. A good place for someone to ask questions regarding any sort of coding would be stackoverflow. Btw just realized how old this topic is, but couldnt delete it so just bare with me..
