btw economic is a greek word too

 

eco- from "οίκος" (=home) and nomic from "νομή" (=share - noun) that comes from the verb "νέμω" (=share - verb)

btw it's "crisis" from the ancient greek world "κρίσις".

Alright, I'll go on since you gave a fuck...

 

 

There are many words in the english dictionary that come from these greek words. Here are some examples...

 

Ecology (eco + "λόγος", which means "study" in this case and comes from the verb "λέγω" that means "say")

Taxonomy (taxo- from the ancient greek verb "τάττω" that means "arrange" and -nomy, which is already explained.)
