Why are you people so narrow-minded? Rofl. Everyone can chose their own Attribute on their own character, it's not typical for everyone to use the Attributes that people are expecting them to have. You must be smart to play with Attributes. For example, on dwarfs you're saying earth, why earth ? Because of the Earthquake ? Dominator with Fire? Grand Khavatari with Fire? Doomcryer with Fire?Shilien Saint HOLY?????????

Attribute from weapon and skill is additive - easier to break defense. Having 300 holy on a dwarf doesn't do shit against 300 def. Having 300 earth +50 something from earthquake is gonna do better against 300 def.

 

But that's just words.

Cos most people have way more than 300 def and thus attributes are pretty useless unless you can decrease the enemies defense.

 

Which means mostly mages, some summoners, maybe tanks. Attributes hold no relevance for majority of classes.

Actually it won't. what is over 300 has the same bonus dmg.

And on GH i dont even use attri ;) .

If you have skills on duel the attribute won't matter anyway.

300 attack - 300 defense + 50 from skill > 300? Does that help you understand?

It does not. It adds it to you current attribute.. so you will have 350 on attack and the opponent still has 300+ (1 is enough) so it won`t make a difference. To make a difference you can use a skill like Wind vortex- [Decreases Wind Resistance by 20]+ Surrender to wind [Decreases Wind Resistance by 20] +Hurricane +30 Wind Vulnerability[Weakens the target's Wind Resistance by 50] and hope that you will make his defense under 300 (speaking on wind defense in this case-was easier to give an example).

So, if a dwarf has 300 earth on weapon, and he enchants his skill on earth attack wich will add 50 more points to earth attack making it 350, when clearly on that l2j.ru table it says that over 300 it does not make any difference (ex: 350,380,over9000 will get you the same ~70% dmg bonus), you claim that you will do extra damage....

 

PS: and no, i'm not trolling...  it is easier to test the other way around since both attack and defense have the same bonuses... take a char with 300+ defense on some attribute [hit it]  after add some buff resists [and hit it again]... you will have the same damage from an user that uses 300 attribute attack. (keep in mind that damage is random so you will need a decent number of hits)
