[Guide]How to open your ports

Recommended Posts

Since the 50% of all the wannabe developers/admins don't know how to do this i'll TRY to make a good and understandable guide

1.Go to http://www.whatsmyip.org/ and copy your IP

screenhunter01jul151732.gif

2.Paste your IP on the url bar of your browser and hit enter

screenhunter02jul151735.gif

3.After that a window will pop up and ask you about your user name and password. The 80% of all modems have admin for username.About the password now....The password is always written under your modem as admin password

screenhunter04jul151741.gif

4.After loging in you'll be able to see your administration panel which is different in every modem

5.On my modem(Conn-x) if you want to open ports you have to go to Advanced Setup -> Nat -> Virtual Server

screenhunter06jul151757.gif

6.Open these ports : 7777,2106,9014 and save

7.Disable Firewall and save

8.Restart your modem and you're done :)

P.s 1 : Since, administration panel is differnet on every modem you have to find on your own how to open ports on your modem(try searching in google how to open ports + your modem's name)

You can't get in your router by the IP you mentioned. It's a local IP and it's usually something like: 192.168.178.1 or whatever.

Ye, i just tested your way Jamal and didnt work... I would suggest to go in Cmd and type "ipconfig" and take the local Ip from there (192.168.xxx.xxx) like ShuN^ said :)

Πολύ ωραίο Guide, όμως ξέχασες να πείς ό,τι σε κάθε σύνδεση το pass είναι διαφορετικό ΠΧ σε εμένα δεν είναι admin - admin αλλά on - on :)

    • Thank you for your reply. I have removed it from the L2Server.exe file, but the L2Server still crashes. It doesn't crash if I don't start l2npc, otherwise it will crash within a few days at the latest.

    • This is dedication! 2 years working on a problem. Congratulations!
    • You indeed have to save player position over Enterworld to properly clean it up later (if you don't, even trying to delete packet content would eventually keep it up), that's what we do with debug packet (which is a reusable Map of ExServerPrimitive packets) on aCis.   It doesn't solve the FPS stuttering - more you draw/delete lines, more your client becomes laggy. It's like if client wasn't deleting drawn points/lines properly, but instead simply hide them and redrawn content above.   If you got a solution, I would happy to integrate it.   You should check aCis#Player _debug packet integration, it allows very big amount of lines/points to be drawn, it is also reusable.   https://gitlab.com/Tryskell/acis_public/-/blob/master/aCis_gameserver/java/net/sf/l2j/gameserver/model/actor/Player.java?ref_type=heads https://gitlab.com/Tryskell/acis_public/-/blob/master/aCis_gameserver/java/net/sf/l2j/gameserver/network/clientpackets/EnterWorld.java?ref_type=heads
