[Guide-Partii]How To Create Your Logo For Npcs

Recommended Posts

This is part 2 of this guide Here

Hello MaxCheaters. In this guide i will try to learn you how you can create your own logos and import them to l2.

It didn't share before, show i guess this is the first time that you learn something like that.It ain't difficult but you just must pay attention.

Well,i will show you how to create and import a logo, but if you learn this, you'll be able also to create your own buttons for your npc :o .

If you have imagination it will be much intresting for you and for the ps users it will be much more easier :D .

So here we go.

Before start, you must have some tools to make that happen:

  • PhotoshopCs(1/2/3/4/5)
  • Tool UnRealEditor[/url]
  • Tool Encrypt

----------------------------------------------------------

Part 1 : Creating the logo

First of all,the width of the image/logo must not be more than 256px,because it will crash client.

The image also must be 256x256.

Open photoshop and create a new file, like in the image.

1-4.png

Then double click at the background and do it as a layer, check the image.

21.png

2-3.png

Then choose the Type Tool, click in the center and write your text.

3-2.png

Now set at the text color and choose the white color!

4-1.png

Now click at Layer 0,choose Paint Bucket Tool and with black color click at white place.

5-1.png

Okay now we need to create alpha channel for our text logo.

Select mxclogo, then up in the bar choose Select ->Load Location... and click ok!

6.png

7.png

Then you will just see that your text is like "animated".It is because the alpha channel.

We are not done yet.

Click at Channels and then click at Save Selection as channel.

8.png

Then make it visible and choose it.

9.png

Now we must save it the image Targa *.tga* so we can save the alpha channel and import it at unrealed.

Attention.Always save it at C: !

PART 2 : Importing the logo at UnrealEd

Open UnrealEd and you will see two windows,a big one and a small one,"inside" at the big one ;D .

So at small one, press File -> Import and select the .tga file that we create before with photoshop.

Then choose Compression DXT3 and press Ok.

10.png

Then find the logo, right click on it and choose Properties.

11-1.png

Now choose the Surface and do the bAlphaTexture from False ,True! and close it.

12.png

Now save your texture with the format .utx at C: .

File->Save For example i save it as mxclogo.utx

PART 3 : Encrypting our texture and replacing it in our client.

Copy/Cut the texture that we create and paste it into the folder of encrypt.

It must be encrypted to "play" in our client.

After you copy/patsted, right click at encrypt UTX.

Do it like that and save it!

l2encdec -e 121 mxclogo.utx

Now run the encrypt UTX and voila.

Here is your new texture named as enc-mxclogo.utx

The last thing that you must do is to change its name as mxclogo.utx and copy paste it into the systextures folder of our client.

--------------

Now simply go to your npc's html file, write whatever you want and to put your creation you should have this code tag

<img src="textureName.logoName" width=256 height=32>

for ex. i must write it like that
<img src="mxclogo.mxclogo" width=256 height=32>

Finally, //reload html and see what you have done to your npc's html :D .

That's all folks.

Now if you use your brain you can make much more intresting things like your own buttons or images.

Practise to found out more and more ;D .

Best regards,

FighterBoss

Personally i dont recommend it "the photoshop steps" well i can make even colorfull images with less steps than those you added but i think it doesnt matter cause the unreal ones are right so its a cool guide for begginers. But i trully recommend to start using photoshop more advanced before you make an outcome from this tutorial. Its been really loooooooong time since i saw one decend logo or custom :)
